文房展前言

①到博物馆,我们会看到各式各样的以艺术门类为基本单位的展馆,如陶瓷管、铜器管、雕塑馆、玉器馆等,各个展馆内则陈列着许多单个的“典型器物”,这些器物当然远比照片影像更为真实,但我觉得,这些按门类、按年代或者按质地、按用途陈列的“实物”,还并非“真实”:无数从古代生活中移出然后转入博物馆的瓷器、铜器、雕塑、玉器,都被剥夺了原来所处环境的千丝万缕的联系,在博物馆里,它们仅用来增加我们专门艺术门类的某些知识。而那些被忽略的原始环境,也应该是甚至更应该是作为器物“真实”的一部分。

②为了理解的连贯,我们可以先从影像说起。

③从柏拉图时代开始,仿佛这一概念就已经在哲学、艺术、文学各领域占据了重要地位。随着机械复制的繁荣,尤其是电子世界的产生,人类现今更无可救赎地停留在柏拉图的洞穴里。身边的影像越来越繁多,影像的内容越来越齐备,生活、研究、批判越来越受到影像的帮助的同时离不开影像。

④人们十分愿意相信照片即真实。但是其实我们稍加分析即能知道,即使从未被制作的影像如照片,也远非真实。一位摄影师在拍摄任何一副作品时,往往要同时或者严格地说是连续拍摄数十张,然后从中选择出自认为满意的一副,比如这张照片具有令摄影者满意的表情、光线、角度、结构,而未表现或者未恰当地表现这些东西的照片即被认为是“非真”的。

⑤比如,当我进入敦煌第130窟,通高26米的弥勒佛高耸在眼前,在佛像前面感觉到的只有无能为力和相形之下的渺小:佛低垂双目,似乎在看着我,使我觉得自己似乎将要失去固有的信仰。而面对照片时,我们可以冷静地发掘、细致地思考,一些直面26米大佛本身时无法进行的思考或感受,都变得轻松自然。大佛照片取消了大佛的高度带给参观者的压力、震撼。

⑥基本上每个敦煌石窟都是建筑、绘画、雕塑、书法共同配置的综合体,它还具有礼仪、宗教意义,若非电灯的发明,在数百年前的采光条件下,壁画尤其是顶上的藻井图案基本无法让人看见。况且,部分洞窟作为庄严、肃穆的宗教礼仪场所,本来是藏而不使人见的。若非处于真实的石窟空间里,我们也就失去了古代僧侣在缥缈、昏暗的洞室中的宗教情怀?

⑦影像是这样,其实,被布置成碎片的实物也是这样。面对一件件摆在我们面前分门别类的实物,我们无法真正走进古代文人的生活。

⑧走进建筑、绘画、雕塑、书法等等共同配置的古代文人的生活空间,我们能真正走进古代文人的生活。这个空间,应该让我们感受它,接受它,接近它,走进它、而不是提供影像,也不是提供碎片,让我们欣赏它,分析它,获得了认识,然后离开它。这个空间应该有实和虚也即物质和精神两层。实的层面,从竹树翳深庭户虚寂,到惠风和畅窗明几净,到书桌禅椅,朴素柔美,到纸墨相发笔砚精良,到缩龙成寸,山林古木助案头清气。虚的层面,当然就是这些内容营造出来的氛围,还有面对这些文人生活的物件时,打磨家具时,写字刻印时,伺候盆景时,制作文玩时,具有的礼仪、宗教意义,这和

敦煌石窟何其相似。

⑨当然,精神层面的空间也必然与处在这个空间内的人相关。明代高启说:静也系于人,不系于居,人能静则无适而不静。高启强调了人的重要性。我总觉得,这两层是从来不能分开的。人很重要,居也很重要;依于仁很重要,游于艺也很重要。质很重要,文也很重要:这样,我们才能成为文质彬彬的君子。

①三十七年前的今天,本人来到这个世界——四肢活跃,身材魁梧,声音洪亮,食欲旺盛。这样的小子想必收到许多即兴的评论,我记不清自己当时是否沾沾自喜。要是当时就知道,时过三十余年,自己将成为一名把握曲线美的“弯人”,婴儿的我是否还会得意地晃动着那个大头?

②俗话说:弯人不是一天造成的。弯了之后,第一个好处是和任何人都有了永恒的话题,比如他问:“你这腰,好像扭了?”我就答“伤了”、“不得劲了”、“不方便”。接下来一定是“怎么不去看看?”我答些世情再答些科学。几问几答之后,俨然成了熟人。

③我的病全称是“强直性柱炎”,脊椎是堂堂正正的骨头。不像有些组织通往不三不四的地方。这个病的好处是生得醒目,人们一目了然。有些病要靠病人自己去宣传。比如胃疼,一直等到疼得穹下腰,人们才会关切。其实,人们是被弯腰的姿势唤起了同情。而我总是弯着腰,可见,生病要生得巧。

④生活中,不聪明的人总是要逞强,以势压人或以理服人。我反其道而行,公开地明白地称弱。老子曰:“知其雄,守其雌,为天下溪。为天下溪,恒德不离。恒德不离,复归于婴儿。”老子阐述过“柔弱胜刚强”的哲学。从一滴水看太阳,老子确实伟大。

⑤其实我也很伟大。

⑥尽管没当成老子,还有另一次伟大的机会,当一名中国的卡夫卡。没人知道我面对《变形记》是何等的沮丧。我就是那个格里高尔·萨姆沙,我就是那无可奈何的甲虫,是我而不是卡夫卡的脊背背叛了自己。我拥有当一只甲虫的全部感觉。

⑦既弯之,則安之。如果有意识地寻找,像找男子汉一样用点力气,弯其实是一种境界。还是老子在说:“曲则全,枉则正,洼则盈,敝则新,少则得,多则感。

⑧弯更是一种审美趣味。现代人提倡亲爱自然,粗粗一想,凡自然的造物,没见过笔笔直的一根。遥想人类当年,四肢趴地,长背向天,臀圆颅方,天然生趣,何直之有?平而致曲,直而后弯,大到天体,小到心术,莫不如此。这么一想,实在不必妄自菲薄,人生难得一回弯呢。

⑨我怕坐公共汽车。人一弯,占的体积就大。自从成为弯人,才知道上海的乘客们是如何地丝丝入扣。他们容不得我的奢侈,一波一波地要将我弄直。要是真的能直,我早就直着走上来了,还用得着费大家的力吗?

⑩爬山是我所爱,我常常走不动楼梯,病得猖狂时拉着扶手像拔河一样将自己拔上去。但我却能爬山,见到山就精神了,拄一支杖请勤恳恳地爬。等我登上山顶,就想:山,我是弯着爬上来的。山应该羞愧。本人在爱的战线上一向成绩平平,就想,弯着尚且如此,一旦直起来是何等潇洒何等魅力,只怕会忙不过来!于是罢了,就弯着吧。

?我最大的心病是死后,如果开追悼会,势必折腾亲朋好友恩人仇人吊唁,一个个沉痛得肃穆。如此,我的罪孽岂不深重?为此,心有不安。

?去年因眼睛住了一月医院。不能看书,就操练起来。在那张较硬的床上撤去枕头装死。很久,忽然砰地一声,全身一震,一节骨头打开了。这对我犹如一声春雷。站起来看看,人直了许多,几乎能冒充含着胸的直人。我将双手抱在胸前,较为得意,盘算着出院后给广有读者的晚报写篇短文,题目也想好,叫作《调戏骨头》。
