Topic2 教材知识详解

1.What else can you do? 你还会做什么呢？

else adv. 意为“别的，其他的”，常用在疑问代词who, what ...，疑问副词how, when, why, where...和不定代词somebody, anything...之后，作后置定语或状语。else与anybody, everybody等连用，表示“他人的”时应用anybody else’s/ somebody else’s。

如：Where else did you go? 你还去哪儿了？

He took somebody else’s hat.他拿了别人的帽子。

other意为“别的，另外的”，只能用于名词前作定语。如：

Are there any other questions? 还有其他问题吗？

2.I’m sure we’ll have a good time at the party.我确信我们将会在聚会上玩得很

高兴。

sure意为“深信的，确信的，对……有把握”，主语必须是人。

结构为：be sure of/about sth. /doing sth./ be sure + (that)从句。

如：I’m sure about his honesty.我对他的诚实深信不疑。

He is sure of winning the match.他深信能贏得这场比赛。

I’m sure (that) I am right.我肯定我是对的。

sure也可以表示“一定，务必，必定”，常用结构为be sure to do sth.。如：You are sure to enjoy the film.你肯定会喜欢那部电影。

It’s sure to rain.肯定会下雨。

have a good time意为“玩得开心”，这是一个固定短语，其意思等同于have a great/nice/wonderful time，此外enjoy oneself也可以表示“玩得开心，过得愉快”，在用法上可以彼此互换。

如：They have a good time at the party.

= They enjoy themselves at the party.他们在聚会上玩得很高兴。

3.I’d like to take these flowers to the party. 我想带这些鲜花去参加聚会。

take sb. / sth. to…意为“带某人/某物去……。

注意take与bring的区别，二者都有“带，拿”之意，它们后都可接表示人或物的名词作宾语。其区别在于：bring指从别处把某人或某物“带来”或“拿来”；take则指从说话处把某人或某物“带走”或“拿走”。

如：

My father often takes me to the zoo.我父亲常带我去动物园。

When you come to school next time, bring your homework here.

下次来学校时，把作业带来。

4.一Can Ann dance or draw ? 安会跳舞还是会画画？

一She can dance. 她会跳舞。

选择疑问句是指提供两种或两种以上的情况以供对方选择的疑问句，选择疑问句有两种形式：一般疑问句形式和特殊疑问句形式。可供选择的选项由or 连接，读时，or之前的部分用升调，之后的部分用降调，回答不用Yes或No，而是直接选择答案。如：

—Would you like milk or tea? 你想要牛奶还是茶？

一Milk, please.牛奶。

—How shall we go, by bus or by bike? 我们是乘公共汽车还是骑自行车去？

—By bike. 骑自行车。

5.At the age of five, she could play the piano very well, but she could only write

a few words.在她五岁的时候，她弹钢琴弹得很好，但是她只会写几个字。

could此处是情态动词can的过去式。如：

I could ride a bike when I was ten.十岁时我就会骑自行车。

(1) at the age of意为“在……岁时”，常可以和“when + sb. + be + 年龄”互换。

如：She could speak English at the age of five.

=She could speak English when she was five.她五岁时就会说英语。

(2) play the piano意为“弹钢琴”，在弹奏乐器的乐器前必须加定冠词the。

如：

Jane often plays the guitar in her free time.简经常在她的空闲时间弹吉他。
