一.教材对比介绍
香港朗文教材的旧版是NEW WELCOME TO ENGLISH，现在已经没有学校使用了。新版是是朗文公司根据香港2004年小学课程指导编写的最新小学教材，结合了朗文在香港二十多年的英语教材编写经验和最新的教学手段，加入了Phonics等新的教学元素，是香港最受欢迎的小学英语教材。分两种：Longman Welcome to English 简称LWTE，和PRIMARY LONGMAN EXPRESS。前者据说在香港有80%的小学使用，后者多为国际学校使用。两个版本的书我都看过，前者与NEW WELCOME TO ENGLISH内容类似，略浅一点点，后者句型和词汇量都很大，对学生要求较高。
深圳使用的是primary English for China，是由深圳市基础教育英语教材编写组和朗文香港教育根据教育部《英语课程标准》编写、由外研社和广东教育出版社联合出版的英语学习用书。
二、教材详细对比（以下对比简称港版和深版）
1. 教材内容对比
深版：单元设置较为零乱，虽然句型和单词设计基本从简单逐步提高难度，但是难度的提高却不是逐步进行，而是带有跳跃甚至有断层的进行。例如Are you Fafa? Yes, I am. / No, I am not.这个一般疑问句，一年级第一学期孩子见过，是一个新的知识点，这其实是一个难点，是要给出一定巩固时间的，但在之后单元里没有复习，配套练习也没有相关内容，这样不能令孩子真正理解。甚至更让我不理解的是，前一个一般疑问句知识点还没有理清，下一个单元又出现了Can you run? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.这样的新句子，也许设计者本意是想多种一般疑问句出现让孩子多了解些，但实际效果是令孩子们觉得混乱不好理解，加上没有配套练习巩固，孩子们不能真正掌握所学的一般疑问句。
全套深版教材教下来还会给人一个印象：前三年难度很低，要求也不高，可一进入四年级马上难度增加，不是逐层而是跳过几层台阶般增加啊，同时听说读写要求也相应爬升，高年级老师普遍反映接手低年级孩子后，需要花一段时间才能帮助他们适应高年级学习。
港版：上面提高的一般疑问句知识点，相比之下港版就处理地很好：配套练习有专项训练（一个学期中还会反复出现），同学期不同单元还会复现，加深孩子的印象。对于知识点的引入和巩固，港版做得非常科学。
课文内容故事性强，贴近真实生活，比深版教材更吸引孩子。
整套港版教下来会发现，教材难度逐渐提高，年级之间非常自然地过渡，孩子们不知不觉中就掌握了教材中的单词句型和知识重难点。
2.阅读教学及拓展
深版：只是在中高年级后才出现阅读部分，课外练习没有相应阅读短文拓展（高年级练习才有）。更没有专门的阅读能力训练和提升。
港版：一年级开始就有阅读练习，但比较简单。每个学期不同的Reading练习册，系统深入的练习设计能帮助孩子们较好地提升阅读能力。另外每个学期都有一本小书，作为阅读拓展。
3.基本写作能力培养
深版：说实话，这方面的能力培养比较少，特别是低段，只是在高年级后也许是为了和初中衔接，才开始有了写作练习，一个单元一两道题，其实能起的作用很少。现在不能或者减少布置课后书面练习，在完成教育局发的配套练习后，能利用的课后时间很少了。
港版：写作训练是从一年级就开始进行的，每个学期一本本练习这样扎实训练后，孩子的写作能力也呈递进的上升趋势。
3.基本写作能力培养
深版：说实话，这方面的能力培养比较少，特别是低段，只是在高年级后也许是为了和初中衔接，才开始有了写作练习，一个单元一两道题，其实能起的作用很少。现在不能或者减少布置课后书面练习，在完成教育局发的配套练习后，能利用的课后时间很少了。

4.语法拓展
深版：号称小学阶段不强调语法，所以平时相关练习涉及得很少，偶有一两道的讲解孩子印象并不深刻，有的老师只能粗略带过。特别是低年级基本不讲语法，但在中高年级时，测验又不可避免地会涉及。特别是，一旦升入初中，就会直接面对大量应试内容，没有预先学习的孩子不得不花额外的时间来适应。
港版：语法涉及比深版多，也比深版广，语法内容比深版引入更早，但不会有深版学生语法基础差的情况，因为港版注重知识的复现和巩固。同一个语法内容在教材和练习中会不断出现，加深孩子的印象。每个学期都有一本GRAMMAR，针对教材中涉及的语法针对性训练，另外，同一个语法内容，可能在不同学期都有相应训练来加深孩子的印象。经过港版朗文教材学习的孩子，语法是在潜移默化中习得的。升入初中后能很快适应新的学习生活。
5.配套练习
深版：尽管有配套的练习，但copybook仅仅限于机械的抄写（三年级后没有），workbook（活动手册）分听力和书写两种训练内容，听力题目前难度较为适中，但书写练习量偏少且最大最大的问题就是设计没有系统性、没有针对性！！还有一本评价手册，基本是融合了听说读写要求的练习，然后，融合是有却全部点到即止，无法达到理想的练习目的。零散而缺乏系统性、要求均沾却不能提供针对和深入性的练习是深版的最大弊端。
港版：基本练习册有pre-task、reading、grammar、listening & skills，另外还有辅助的每周基础训练、90日和LONGMAN NEW ENGLISH EXERCISE,全面的练习提供全面的训练。
由此可见港版从一年级就注重训练听说读写能力，根据本年级学生特点来设计练习，系统而有针对性的训练孩子的听说读写综合能力。
综述：港版教材是一套成熟而系统性强的教材，而深圳版教材也许是时间的关系，还处于实验阶段。因为港版教材提升孩子英语学习能力和潜力的效果比深版强，孩子的应试能力也随之提升。这些年，小学生语法、写作等英语基本能力相对薄弱的现状引发不少初中老师的不满，小学一线教师在努力改变这一现状，但教材不改，配套练习质量不提高，这样的现状就很难改变。
三、教师支持系统
深版：配有配套的光碟，VCD和CD。VCD是课文内容的flash展示，发音偶然会有不那么地道的情况。视不同版本还会额外配有英文儿歌，配套游戏设计大多较为简单。教师用书和港版大同小异。另外教师还配有flash cards和story cards。
港版：配套光碟和深版差不多（但是昂贵啊），发音很标准。光碟配套设计的游戏有难有易，可以逐步提高孩子的能力。教师有一个教师箱，除配有flash cards和story cards外，另有更多教师辅助材料：question bank（光碟）和一本厚厚的分页册，便于老师根据进度和学生的学习程度额外出练习卷。还经常安排深港两地的教师交流，提升教师教学能力。
四、跨学科
深版：基本不涉及
港版：与美术、自然科学等学科有一定联系，有人文关怀和情感培养的设计心意。
五、phonics 拓展
深版：每个单元会有一个E部分教授字母或字母组合涉及的phonics发音，但不系统各部分联系不紧密。
港版：基本教材外额外配有一本phonics小书，类似国外的phonics教材，前后部分都有联系，系统而专项学习，专业性很强，
