One late spring day, I saw the wild turkey and several of her chicks along the road near my home. I slow to look at the lovely babies as they gathered around their mother’s legs, but they rapid moved into the long grass. I have a friend who keep a list of all the different birds she sees in her urban neighborhood. I once was stopped to watch ants hard at work near an anthill on the sidewalk. It was fascinated! My favorite book is Black Beauty. It’s a story that take place in nineteenth-century England. It’s a kind of autobiography writing from the horse’s points of view. The book describes its experiences with a variety owners. As a young horse Black Beauty lives a carefree life in a place when everyone is kind to him. Unfortunate, when the owner has to go abroad, he sells him to a family who are not so kind. He goes on to have a lot of pleasant experiences, which is a saddest part of the story. However, the story did all end happily. Although people think of it as a children’s book, but this is a novel which forces us to think about the way we treat animals.

I have a gold-coloured dog named Bobby who loves to be on photos. One day last summer, while live in a seaside house, I was trying to photograph sun setting on the sea over the edge of a wall of my place. Upon it seeing me hold my camera, my Bobby, which was two years old, climbed up the rocky rock and over towards me. She gets as close to the edge as quickly as she possible could. She stood tall, glancing back with her intelligence but innocent eyes in the direction of her camera. Then she smiled to show her tooth and wouldn’t move unt il I took her photo!

My mother is always ready for rain days. On the night before my sister’s ten birthday, she realized we didn’t have the ‘1’ and ‘0’ candles need to top the cake. My 78-year-old grandfather was visiting, so we jumped in the car and head to the supermarket. Since it was not very much far, we arrived at our destination after we realized. While sorting through the numbered candles, my mother deciding to grab an extra ‘1’ to be ready for next year. This summer, my grandmother accompanies my family to Lijiang, Yunnan Province for a vacation. On the second day of our holiday, she complained of feel unwell, suspecting a bad case of indigestion. Luckily, my mother, the doctor, recognized the symptoms of a heart attack, and an ambulance called. Without my mother’s assistant, my grandmother would likely have died that day. The experience touched me a lot of. I used to think that it would be tired to be a medical worker like my mother and I would rather do something in the future than become a doctor. So when I saw with my own eye how my mother saved my grandma’s life, I made up my mind to be a doctor.

Last summer, my father and I hiked Wutai Mountain, that is located in the northeast of our province. Actually, hike would be an understatement. The mountain is more than 3,000 meter tall, and it took all we had make it. Sure, the journey was a lot of fun, with green shades, cool breezes, and singing birds, but that’s not that made it so much memorable. Climbing with my dad was the experience of the lifetime. It was an opportunity to deep our bond, learn how to better communicate and really worked together a s a team. It was true an experience I’ll never forget.

When I was a kid, I enjoyed make sun catchers. Sometimes I’d used a kit with colorful plastic piece, but it was even more fun to make them with melted crayons or colored tissue paper. They all looked cheery when they lit by the sun. Last year, I saw some of the most prettiest “sun catchers” ever made. I visited the Reims Cathedral in France, which contain stained-glass windows created by artist Marc Chagall. The blue glass, in particular, took my bre ath out. Seeing some of Chagall’s work made me interested again at creating sun catchers. I know the ones I make will never come close to be as lovely as the windows made by the famous artist. And it’s fun to try.

I get the same present from my grandmother every Christmas — a box of handkerchief. I have no intention of opening it, so it always go straight into the charity shop. Last Christmas, my grandmother was staying with us over the holiday, but I had to open present in front of her. I tried to look cheerful, because she was watching me. I open the box unwillingly. To my surprise, I saw a ￥100 note placing in there. I can’t help think about all the cash I’ve given it away to charity over the years. I really don’t like to think about how rudely I must have appeared by not thanking her sincerely about the gift!

Last summer vacation, my friend and I visited Potatso National Park, located about 22 km east of Shangri-La. After walk for several hours, their legs failed themselves and they chose to take a ship. However, I insisted walking. As I headed forward, something white on a tree that caught my eye. I approached the tree and take a closer look at it. Just then, a small group of locals walked up but told me it was a precious eatable mushroom! I collected it careful and bagged it. After we finally returned to a hotel, I asked the owner to cook the mushroom for us. It couldn’t have tasted good. It was such a great reward.

I’d love to be a writer someday. I do a lot of writing, but no one ever read it. I felt a bit of disappointed and wondered what wide the gap between dream and reality was. Then my big break came when I was 13. I went to our city’s local newspapers and asked if I could get my writing publish. To my surprise, they said yes. And, just like that, I got my first writing out into the public. So I hope those who share the same dream with mine can stick with it. Even if it doesn’t become full-time job for you, writing is a significantly skill. Being good at string sentences together will serve you well no matter where life take you.

Once a month, I, together with ten students from three another high schools, visit a training center for kids with special need. We also bring some snacks for the kids. When we arrive at there, we play games with them. Seeing the happy smiles on their faces make all our efforts worthwhile. The kids enjoy our stay or company. Every time we have to say goodbye, all of us are unwilling part from each other. Perhaps in some people’s eyes, what we do seems of little important. They may think we high school students should devote all of our time for study. And I know it does make the difference, not only to the little kids, but to ourselves.

With summer approach, Mother set about arranging those heavy winter shoe. In one shoe box, she found two pairs of yellowish sneakers, which was white originally. She felt it a pity throw them away, or had no way to whiten them. Suddenly a good idea struck at me. I took out my oil paints and drew some brightly-colored plants and flowers on them. When I finish my work, the sneakers turned from a ugly duck to a swan. The experience forced me to think what we can do for the environment. With a little imagine, we can turn trash into treasure and thus helping our mother planet.

You are expecting to choose the word with the same meaning like the given word. If you get it rightly, you get a harder question. If you get it wrong, you get an easier question. For each of correct answer, the website donates 10 grain of rice through the World Food Programme to help end hunger. I like the idea. On the one hand, play the vocabulary game helps enlarge my vocabulary, which in turn allow me to better organize my ideas. On other hand, I can make a contribution to the world food problem.

A snowstorm hit our city last night. The thick snow forced a lot of people to abandon their cars and chose public transportation this morning. Since buses were unavailable near my home, so my father had to drive me school. On our way, there was a slope, that became slippery due to the snow. Our car failed to climb up it and thus caused a traffic jam. Just at this moment, the traffic policeman arrived. Getting off his motorcycle, he began to push the car. See this, other drivers got out of their cars and joined them. With the efforts of these warm-heart people, our car finally made it. I was deeply moved by their kind. It was frozen cold outside but my heart was filled with warmth.

Last month, my sister and I signed it up for a second-hand sale in our neighborhood. In that day, we placed some old magazines or stuffed toys on our stand. Then a father and daughter came up, that were clearly troubled. The father told us his daughter is suffering from a serious illness. A little girl asked my sister the price of a stuffed bear. My sister looked right her and said, “Give me the bigger smile you’ve got.” The little girl smiled b road. My sister then handed her the bear and said, “That smile is worth a million dollar.” I’ve never been so proud.
