For each leave, the programmer must notice PM 1 week before he leave. Also, Engineering team owner need provide vacation plan for each programmer, and also reserve qualified 2-3 people to do the replacement if there comes resources changes.
Initiate discussions with Client to minimize legacy system changes during the conversion to enable existing expertise to work on conversion project
Commision study of documentation and develop automatic search engine, to complete by June 2000. Base on result of study&research, obtain commitment from ACSD to consumate documentation, and figure out all hard-code changes to elder Euro system. Target: reduce impact to Low. Need ask HR to hire 30 programers who understand IBM VS/VSE system and HP system very well before Nov. 1999, and we need give them background training one month and ask them spend one year to finish all system migration program design before Dec. 2000.
Project manager to organize the training for all progammers to learn the VME and IDMS, training course is scheduled in April, May and June. Have the test to ensure the team can complete the knowledge by June. Target: to reduce the risk to low.
