Rural life: a way of living

When more and more people come into the city from the country, most of people in the city want a rural life. The heavy financial burden which makes people roll in the city is nothing for oppidans. What are they want in the country, is it a good choose that living in the country?

As far as I am concerned, first, fast-paced life make them out of breath, they want have a easy life in the country and leave the city's noise behind. Second, they want to be close to nature, when they awake with clean air every morning, watch the magnificent sunrise and sunset and listen to the bird singing in the tree, and eat the food which is from their farm.

Maybe it will attract many people who are weary of the living in the city. But everything has two sides , living in the country has advantages and disadvantages. Life in the country can be pretty tough. When people live in the country, they will face the heavy financial burden, poor medical facility and ragged school. They will have a poverty life, work in the farm, only dine out once or twice a month and only patronize local restaurants. When they want to buy something necessarily , they have to driving for several hours or more.

Of course, when they lost their superior life, they gain happiness, friendship and their body will be stronger. With the advancement of our society, the traffic between city and country will be better, school, hospital and any other infrastructure will be better too. Living in the country will become a new fashion.

Female staff in our research laboratory

There are about 30 female staff in our research laboratory. Although their individual character，educational background，and hobby vary，according to their attitude to work they are still able to be classified into three kinds: they are negative female staff , obedient female staff, and motivated female staff .

Negative female staff are those who are not willing to spend time on work. They work listlessly and dilatorily. They always find a variety of excuses to avoid work，and often ask for leave . According to the reason for being negative, the negative female staff also can be subdivided into two kinds . The reason of the first kind is that their husbands can make much money, so their main duty is to take care of children and do housework, not to make money. Therefore, they often rest during work hours, so that after work they can vigorously do their own work, such as taking care of children , doing housework, or doing some leisure activities. The reason of the second kind is that they will retire in a few years.

Obedient female staff are those who work seriously but have no higher career goals. They are willing to accept work, and can accomplish all the tasks on time. They strictly observe each kind of rules and regulations, and work meticulously. However, they do not have higher career goals, and are merely content with the status quo. Even if they have been in the same position and done the same for decades, they would not complain.

Motivated female staff are those who have a well-defined career plan and higher career goal. They have a strong work initiative and will accomplish their work excellently. In addition to that, they would initiatively find some work to do，which is good for their development. They have a strong desire to show-off, and will not miss any opportunity to express themselves. They attaches great importance to the Self-improvement. However, it is the most unacceptable thing for them to stay in the same position. Once they have found there weren’t any room for development, they would choose to leave.

Obviously, For the laboratory's managers, the obedient female staff are the most easy one to manage. However, the female staff who are the most difficult to manage are not the negative ones, but the motivated ones. The motivated staff generally are very smart and capable, so to manage them, the manager must be more smart and more capable than them.

The advantages of college students doing a part-time job Doing a part-time job is no longer something strange in college students’ lives. To some degree, it has become part of their lives. Why college students take a part-time job?

For one thing, it could lessen the economic burden of the family. For instance, a college student can earn about 800 yuan a month. With this, they don’t have to ask their parents for money. Thanks to it, there are lessen worries among the college students and their parents.

Besides, I think it is the demand of time. In an age of knowledge updating and information explosion, what college students have learned can hardly

meet the demand of society. By doing a part-time job, the students can put what they learned at school into practice. Not only can they learn skills but also they can learn how to get on well with others. This will help students to obtain more advantages over others in the job market in which competition for jobs becomes more and more fierce.

For college students to do a part-time job will exert a profound influence on their personality and life. As to them, a college degree is by no means a guarantee for a better job or a bright future. To cast a promising career, they need a lot more abilities which they can not learn from college but learn from doing a part-time job.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that part-time job can produce a far-reaching impact on students and they should be encouraged to take part-time job, which will benefit students and their family, even the society as a whole.

Friends ,Don’t be Picky

Friends, are you picky? Perhaps you are, because the food is not smelling ；perhaps you are, because I'm full ；maybe because you are lack of food. But whatever you do, it is a bad habit of picky eating. Therefore, my friends —— don't be Picky, because every kind of food are of the human body sustenance.

The necessary nutriention of the body can be divided into five categories：Vitamins，Protein，fat，Carbohydrates and Minerals. Vitamins, as the name suggests, which is to maintain the elements of life. Many different types of vitamins, more than 20 species, have been known, including vitamins A, B, C, D, K and so on. Everyone needs. Vitamin is very small, but it has played an irreplaceable role. When the body lacks vitamins, growth and development will be affected, which sometimes cause some diseases. Such as lack of vitamin A, can cause children stunted, night blindness, rough skin, etc., so we should add some animal liver, fish, corn, radish, etc.; We often say that there is vitamin C, scurvy was the lack of it, resistance will decline, suffering from vitamin C. Deficiency people should eat more vegetables and fruits.

Proteins are constituted of the basic material of human cells, our growth and development, organizational renewal and the provision of energyare all from it which can also be from fish, milk, meat, dried nuts, beans and so on.

Fat can provide energe for the body. In general, it is only stored in the body, mainly from oil, eggs, fish, meat, milk, beans, sesame and so on.

Carbohydrates provide energy for the body, and the body's activities,is mainly fromt it,it is still a part of a cell. There are more carbohydrate foods, such as, pasta, grains, potatoes, and sugar.

Mineral content in the body is not much, but is also very important, such as: calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. These are indispensable, including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, which is the main component of

bones and teeth. Mineral mainly exists in the milk, eggs, meat, fish, crabs, etc.

In short, body needs varieties of nutriention. These nutrients should be from food. So for your own health, listen to my advice: friends, not be picky eaters!

Life is jungle

Life is changeable, it can be sad or cheerful, it can be dirty or beautiful, it can be happy or painful and of course, it can be good or bad. Meanwhile, Life is eternal for we have love, truth, belief and courage. It’s our life, just like the jungle composed of various lives, dense forest, clear stream and soft sunshine, is profuse and thriving. Therefore, It’s smart for us to find countless beauties from our life, enjoy it and try our best to make life fresh and dynamic as our passion for the jungle mysteries and adventure.

As coin has two sides, there may be crucious battle for living, species extinction even human damages in the jungle. Don’t you think that like our life? For living, we have to work hard, bear great burden, even sometimes be afflicted with emotional trauma. All of these can make us overwhelmed. whatever, in order to live better, we should only face up problems, live actively and bravely just like those lives in the jungle！

Exam-oriented or Quality-oriented

At present there exists side by side two contradictory educational systems: the traditional exam-oriented system and the new quality-oriented one, which leads to a heated nationwide discussion as to which is preferable.

The exam-oriented educational pattern is the inevitable result of the existing exam assessment system.In order to climb into the ‘ivory tower’ or work for their degrees, students are cramming data and facts only for exams and forget all the information right after the exams.What’s worse, when students become interested in testing techniques, they gradually lose their freedom and creativity.As a result, they always bury themselves in multiple choices and never attach importance to practical ability and originality.

In contrast, the quality-oriented educational pattern stresses the creativity of students and their all-round development.Students are not expected to memorize information mechanically and passively as computers.Instead, they are encouraged to do some creative work actively and independently as the programmers of

computers.In this pattern, what students aim at is no longer their academic performances, but their practical abilities.

No doubt, what the new quality-oriented pattern aims to train and bring up are not merely learners successful in studies, but responsible citizens fit in health, rich in knowledge and competent in their work.Therefore, it’s high time we reformed our existing exam assessment system and adopted the new one.

Is watching TV bad for children?

Everything consists of goodness and badness. People cannot evaluate something only by its benefit or only by its harmfulness. This is why disagree with the point that watching television is bad for children. I admit that if the children do not watch TV properly, such as watching television excessively or seeing something unfit for them on TV, it would do harm. However, watching television can benefits of children if they make good use of it. In those sense, watching television is not bad for children.

First of all, most TV programs for children are designed in an interesting way which is easier for children to understand. For example, a lovely show tells a beautiful story with attractive image on TV and at the same time it introduces some knowledge to her young audience. Thus watching television can help children learn a lot of knowledge in an interesting way.

Secondly, watching TV can be a different form of various entertainments that children are accustomed to. Most children like vivid cartoons and they may enjoy their time in children entertainment TV programs. Hence, watching TV is an good entertainment for children.

Lastly, watching TV can help children make good use of their time. Many TV programs have their certain times. Children always know the show times of their favorite programs. If they want to watch these programs on time, they should complete other tings before that time. In other words, children have to be quicker in their other activities. Thus, watching TV can help children manage their time.

I do admit that watching TV properly needs direction of the parents. Yet, we cannot doubt watching TV is in some ways for its teaching knowledge to the children, for its entertaining the children and for its good effecting on children’ time. I believe most adults today can still remember how their favorite children TV programs be benefited of them when they were children.
