Last month, I watched a film called Coraline （《鬼妈妈》）with my friends. The horror film is based on the book Coraline by British author Nell Gaiman. Kids should probably watch this movie with adults.
In the film, a young girl named Coraline Jones has just moved into her new home at the Pink Pan Palace Apartments. This might sound fun, but Coraline ’s parents are boring. They hate mud and don ’t let her play in the garden, they cook terrible food and worst of all, they don ’t talk to Coraline often because they are busy working.
However, things begins to change after Coraline gets a doll. She finds a small hidden door and a tunnel leading her to a new world.
Everything is perfect there-her parents are funny and they buy her everything she wants. Coraline is happy there, but one thing disturbs her-all the people there have buttons for eyes. One day, Coraline is asked if she wants to put buttons into her own eyes so she can stay in this wonderful world forever. While she is thinking about this, she discovers something terrible. She has to do something to save her family.
Coraline tells an amazing story. It taught me a great lesson- be careful what you wish for. I personally didn’t think it was that scary, although some people might. China now has one of the highest salt intakes in the world. To fix this, China issued the first salt reduction guide for its food industry on April 18, People’s Daily reported.
If the guide is followed properly, the average salt intake for Chinese people will drop by 20 percent by 2030. The guide calls for food companies to lower the salt content in their products by improving their production techniques and adjusting flavors.
The salt we take in mainly comes from processed （加工的）food. For example, a 104-gram can of Lay’s classic potato chips contains about 0.66 grams of salt, which accounts for over 10 percent of the recommended daily salt intake. A 100-gram bag of Kang Shi Fu instant noodles has nearly 2 grams of salt.
