独立学院中西文化比较课程双语教学策略作者：刘丹来源：《河南农业·综合版》 2014年第12期昆明理工大学津桥学院外语系刘丹摘要：双语教学正成为我国教育改革的热点。昆明理工大学津桥学院对双语教学给予了极大支持，建设了一批双语示范课。中西文化比较课程是其中一门，主要从双语教学的定义，双语教学课程现存的问题，双语教学课程的必要性和中西文化比较双语课程基本策略几方面进行阐述，提出了中西文化比较双语课程建设基本理念及策略。为独立院校双语课的发展提供一些借鉴。关键词：独立学院；中西文化；双语；教学策略昆明理工大学津桥学院与英国、美国、澳大利亚等国家的多所大学建立了合作关系，因而双语教学必不可少。学院对双语教学给予了极大支持。不仅成立了专门的双语教学小组，还建设了一批双语示范课，希冀找到适合独立学院的双语教学的基本模式。一、“双语教学”的定义站在不同的学科基础上，不同的学者对双语教学（bilingual education）有不同的定义，目前比较经典的说法有以下几种。英国朗文出版社出版的《朗文应用语言学词典》是这样论述的：双语教学即能在学校里使用第二语言或外语进行各门学科的教学。双语教学的形式多样，主要包括：学校使用一种不是学生在家使用的语言进行教学，即沉浸式双语教学（immersion progra- mme）；学生刚进入学校时使用本族语，然后逐渐使用第二语言进行部分学科的教学，其他学科仍使用母语教学，即保留性双语教学(maintenance bilingual education)；学生进入学校以后部分或全部使用母语，然后逐步转变为只使用第二语言进行教学，即过渡性双语教学（transitional bilingual education）。双语教育家Mackey和Sigupan认为，双语教学这个术语指的是以两种语言作为教学媒体的教育体系，其中一种语言常常但不一定是学生的第一语言。香港浸会大学语言中心博士卢丹怀认为，双语教学指的是用两种语言作为教学媒介语，从而使学生通过授课语言的运用来达到掌握两种语言的最终目标。上海市双语实验学校评委钱源伟教授认为，对双语教学的思考，是用英语进行非母语语言学科教学的一种探索，是在充分关注我国的文化背景与母语交往环境的条件支持下，稳妥地在一定学科及相应内容范围内实施的学科教学，其价值追求是使学生能较为熟练地运用汉语、英语进行学科思维，用双语开展学科学习与交流。华东师范大学课程与教学研究所双语教育研究中心主任、《中小学英语教学与研究》杂志主编、博士生导师王斌华认为，双语教学有广义和狭义之分：广义的双语教育指的是，学校中使用两种语言的教育；狭义的双语教育指的是，学校中使用第二语言或外语传授数学、物理、化学、历史、地理等学科内容的教育。我国目前开展的双语教学基本符合狭义的双语教育的界定。教育部课程教材研究所副研究员王本华指出，双语教学就是将母语之外的另外一种语言直接应用于语言学科以外的其他学科教学，使第二语言的学习与各科知识的获取同步。我国之所以采取“双语教学”的提法：一是尊重约定俗成的叫法；二是区别“教育”和“教学”的概念，我国的双语教学主要指课堂层面上的双语教学活动，而不是指学校教育、家
