之四：图表作文
一、高分技巧
图表作文着重说明事实，一般要求考生用英文对图表中的数据、图像等所提供的信息作客观叙述，并且加以分析理解，然后得出正确结论或做出简短评论。图表主要有表格饼状图、条形图及曲线图等样式。
在进行图表作文之前，必须认真地审题，吃透要求，研究图表所传递的所有信息。图表上方或下方的文字通常是其主题，而图表中的文字和说明实质上就是作文中的关键词只有在深入研究和透彻理解所提供信息的基础上进行分析、比较，发表看法和下结论时，才不易出差错。千万不要因为赶时间而匆匆动笔。下笔之前，应在纸上列出提纲，保证文章有条理，确保内容符合题目要求，没有遗漏。
写这类作文通常要把握以下几点：
（1）要认真解读图表，切勿遗漏重要数据信息和细节提示，不必每个数据都涉及，但重要数据必须提到。
（2）对图表中的内容分析，数据说明定要简明扼要，尽量使用简单句，因为复杂的句式往往起不到清晰表达的效果，这有悖于图表作文的考查目的。
（3）结论性的表达要按部就班地从图表信息分析或数据归纳而来，这样才能使语言有说服力，切忌主观判断，更不能主观臆造。
二、写作模板

第一段：概括图表内容。
第二段：分析图表内容。
第三段：展望图表所要反映情况的未来。
【参考模板】

A quarter of people will not hesitate to help an elderly person when they see him fall, because they think it’s their duty to help old people in trouble. And 40 percent of the students will offer help when the man asks, and they will ask someone else to help the old man together. Only 15 percent of the students will refuse to offer help, because they worry that they may be regarded as the person who hurts the old man and be asked to pay money. But they will call the police. I hove recenty done a survey to know if students Would like to join in the English speech contest. Here are the results.
Most students would like to take part in the contest. They think it will helpthem improve their peaking skills and become more confident. Besides, they can learn from others. A Survey on Reading Habits
On World Reading Day, we carried out a survey about the reading habits of high schol students. According to the survey, 45.75% of the students read books they buy and 8.59% of them download e-books or read online.
35.75% of the students borrow books from friends or the library and 11% of them read in the school reading-room. From the survey we can see that the use rate of the schol reading-room is not high enough. We suggest that its opening hours be extended and meanwhile bookstores be invited into the school to make it convenient forstuidents to buy books.

The Dream Jobs
In order to help us form good ideals. We made a survey among 100 students in our school. Here are the resuts. Most of them want to be businesmen because they think businesmen are rich. 28% of them want to be doctors, because they are proud of saving the sick people. And being good teachers is some students’ dream. They think it’s pleasure to make students learn more from them. The rest students want to do other jobs. Some want to be policemen. They think the work is exciting. But some don’t want to be policemen. They think they are dangerous.
