Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

When we are born, we are good. But we will change in the

influence of society. Maybe you will be good, and always help others, show your heart to others. But sometimes if you do not control

yourself well, you will become bad. Your mind is fill with evil that

will lead to bad deeds. If you do not correct it in time, you will spend a whole life in the evil.

The story is that Henry Jekyll who is master with much money and good name. But he made a mistake, It was that he enjoyed having fun. And sometimes became careless: often he only wanted to have fun. In order to have fun he discovered that some mixtures

of drugs had the effect of changing a man’s skin and body : these drugs could change the very size of a man ! so he changed between Henry Jekyll and Hyde . He made Henry Jekyll do good deeds ,and he made Hyde knock down a small girl and kill Sir Danvers Carew . Because of the shortage of medicines and chemicals. He had never been a respectful man. Then he killed himself.

Why did Henry Jekyll change ? The book told us that the reason of Henry Jekyll’s change is the character of having fun. He sometimes had the smallest faults in his soul in his youthful life . He wanted to hide it. Hiding his actions caused him great unhappiness. So his life is bored, and he is alone . He always is unhappy. In order to get freedom and happiness and need his desire of doing wrong or horrible things. He drank a lot of drugs and chemicals, then he would become Hyde that was hideous and ugly a man or a animal! I think this is a big social problem . He lives in the society, some people that are

very rich and have a good fame , so they begin to look for a exciting and emotional life . and they are eager to get joy . This is maybe a example among them. So I think this is a big social problem instead of personal problem.

The deeds are very bad, because he did bad things by Hyde.

For example , knock down a small girl, kill Sir Danvers Carew . If he became Henry Jekyll that he did not change into Hyde,

he would do good things. We should respect him, And also this

can bring him a good fame, he will feel well. His spirits will

be higher, but he does not think so. He thinks the joy of

spirits is worse than actions . Bad ideas are filled with his mind

that lead to bad deeds . If he can control himself well, I believe he will be better. But he did not control himself well , so he did bad things. so it was Henry Jekyll who is faults. What a pity. A brilliant scientist did so terrible things that some people do not understand. He can make contribution to our society ,

However , he did bad things that are harmful to our society. It likes a earthquake that shocked everyone.

Why does his friends who do not help him ? Why? His old friend , Lanyon knew everything .because he had brought Henry Jekyll drugs and chemicals. Why does not prevent it ? If he prevented him changing it , maybe Henry Jekyll can save by Mr. Utterson. We know they have a different idea in science, but this is normal, But he did not prevent him changing it. This is a big problem that proved he is selfish. maybe he is very frightened , At least he should tell Mr. Utterson about it . Henry Jekyll had only three friends, he is not outgoing. His heart is closed, he did not want to tell everyone about his secrete. So we should say that he is unfortunate. His character caused his unfortunate. This is a reason why he became this.

Although he is wise , he does not use his wisdom properly.

he used it to do bad deeds , It is not right to do it by his wisdom. For knocking down a small girl and then he paid off money by another person that is the same Henry Jekyll .This called blackmail . And how to change and make someone lose suspect. We can see that he is very careful and brilliant. If he used his wisdom properly. He can make contribution to our society, However , he did bad things that are harmful to our are harmful to our society, What a pity!

For his experiments, he did not complete his experiments. I think we should not continue to develop. Because his experiments are harmful to our society. If we continue to develop and do it, we will become the second ,third... There are the good and evil inside him . If he did not control it well, the evil would capture his heart and mind . he will do bad things. If he controlled it well . he will be a good man and always help others and do his experiments about other things, Maybe he would be successful. But it breaks the rules on science , so we should not continue to develop. However some people have different ideas about this question. They think we should continue . because it can make science develop in the future. It can make us understand human beings. It is a breakthrough in science.

How to solve the problem about his character. I think he should become outgoing gradually, and also make a lot of friends. Sometimes he can talk with his close friends and tell him about his sorrow or happiness . If he got trouble , he can get help from his friends. Holding a party or going out with friends or family. Then he can continue his experiments that is good for our society and people. Maybe he will make a difference. This is his real joy, this can bring him happiness and

a good name. If he did it like this, he will be respected by everyone. Forget unhappiness and sorrow, his life would be

better.

We can get real help from closed friend. Sometimes we should

get some advices from them. If we lose our way, he can help

us escape from it. We should tolerate friend’s small faults under

some conditions. But we should correct it in time after a short time. We can help him find his faults, in return ,If we do not do

it, maybe a small fault can bring a big fault. Because Larnoy did

not correct Henry Jekyll’s faults. This event caused a big fault. So If we are close friend , we should correct our mistakes each other in time. This can help us instead of harm ourselves . Maybe this is an another reason caused his death.

His desire forced him to do experiments by using himself.

Although he knew this is very dangerous But in the end ,since the liquid that would change him was ready, he would not

resist . He had dreamed of this possibility for so long and

worked so hard; He had to see if his experiments was a success. He bought the last ingredient---a large quantity of a certain white salt. And then he mixed it and drink it. He felt ill, and then strange. But then these feelings disappeared, and he then felt better. He felt younger, he felt free to do anything he wanted, even the most terrible things! Maybe this is another reason for him doing his experiments. In fact , it is not real reason. His real reason that needs his desire that wants to do bad things and get happiness and freedom.

At the end, he wrote a confession that told everything he

did. He was born in a family with much money and good

name. But he had a serious fault, it was that he enjoyed having fun and sometimes became carelessness: He wanted to have fun. But he hid his carelessness deep inside his heart, because he desired the respect of all men and wanted to become a man of good name. Thus, beginning in his early youth, he began to live two different life. Hiding his actions caused him great unhappiness. He could not become someone he was not. When

He worked day after day to do charitable action, and to cure the pain of his patients, he was Henry Jekyll. When he did wrong or horrible things, he was also Henry Jekyll. He wanted to separate these two men of good and evil inside him, and give each man a body to control. Then he would no longer feel the unhappiness of fighting the evil man inside him. He discovered that some mixtures of drugs had the effect of changing a man’s skin and body; these drugs could change the very size of a man!

From that time on, He often changed between Henry Jekyll and Hyde .When he became bored with medicines and science and his old and ordinary friends, he would instantly have the freedom of

youth as Hyde. So he become happy, because he could live without

the freedom of doubt. Hyde could do evil things without feeling

bad afterwards. Whatever terrible crime Hyde died, he could always be safe a moment later. He would turn into Henry Jekyll,

a man with a good name who no one would suspect. So ,

evil, drunken, and horrible in every way, he ran over London as Edward Hyde. But unluckily, because of the shortage of medicines and chemicals, he had never turned into Henry Jekyll. So he is very sad, he feared that people found him, so he killed himself. From these details we can find he knew process that happened to him. But he did not realize things will be terrible, he did not change into Henry Jekyll any more . this is a pity, this maybe is that he should get it. because If you do good things you will get a big harvest .If you do bad deeds, you will be punished and get nothing. And also If we lose our way, close friends can help us escape from it. He

should tolerate friend’s small faults under some conditions. But

he should correct it in time after a short time. He can help us

find our faults, in return ,If he does not do it, maybe a small

fault can bring a big fault.

The most important of all that we should control ourselves well. Sometimes we should make a lot of friends, when we get in trouble ,they can help you in time . Do not close your heart! Please show your heart to others! Make other people understand and know you well, It is very important for you to correct your faults . We should higher sprits by doing good things . To do bad things are useful for someone ,and make them get joy. He thinks the joy of spirits is worse than actions . Bad ideas are filled with his mind that lead to bad deeds . but this is not real joy .Because they lose moral, and also they lose themselves. If you are good,

and always help others, show your heart to others. Your sprits will be higher. If you are not good, your mind is filled the evil that

can make your lose way. So controlling ourselves well is very important for us to do everything.

In my opinion, when we are a strong eager to have bad deeds or bad ideas. We should control ourselves well. If we make mistakes , or we do not how to solve it, we should correct it by friend’s help. If we do not correct it in time , maybe a small fault can bring a big trouble even lead to

our death.
