How many men do housework? Recently a European commission tried to find out people’s ideas and reactions to the women’s movement. As part of their survey, they asked many men and women the question,‖ Who does the housework? ‖ The men answered very differently from the women!

The housework they asked people about were: preparing meals, washing dishes, cleaning the house and babysitting. 48% of British husbands said they did these things. 37% of Danish(丹麦的) men helped in the house. But there was an interesting point of view from the wives. According to British wives, only 38% of their husbands helped in the house. And Italian wives said that their husband s hardly ever helped. The Italian and British men did not tell the truth! The Commission found that Danish men were the most truthful husbands. Their answers were the same as their wives’ answers.

Brenda Bongos was a happy, artistic girl. She had one big dream—to play the drums in a band. But one big problem lay in her way. To be good enough to play in a band, Brenda had to practice a lot, but she lived next-door to a lot of old people. Many of them are sick. She knew tha t the sound of beating drums would really get on their nerves. So, she had tried playing in the strangest places: a basement, a kitchen, and even in a shower. But there was always someone it would annoy.

One day, while watching a science documentary on TV, she h eard that sound cannot travel in space, because there's no air. At that moment, Brenda Bongos decided to become a sort of musical astronaut.

Her fame spread so much that the government suggested that she be part of a uniqu e space journey. Finally, Brenda was a real musical astronaut, and had gone far beyond her first ambition of playing drums in a band.

9 You can find it on buildings, sidewalks, street signs and trash cans from Tokyo to Paris, from Moscow to Cape Town. Street art has become a global culture. Even art museums and galleries are collecting the works of street artists.

Street art started very secretly because it was illegal to paint on public and private property without permission. 10 Some think it is a crime and others think it is a very beautiful new form of culture. Art experts say that the street art movement began in New York in the 1960s. Young adults painted words and other images on the walls and trains. This colourful style of writing became known as graffiti(涂鸦), whose art showed that young people wanted to rebel against society.

Street artists do their work for different reasons. 11 They choose street art because it is closer to the people. Some artists try to express their political opinion in their works. Others like to do things that are not allowed and hope they can’t be caught. Advertising companies also use street art in their ads because it gives people the impressions of youth and energy.

12 Artists can show their pictures to people all over the world. Many people, however, say that seeing a picture on the Internet is never as good as seeing it alive.

13 There, it will continue to change and grow.

A. Some of them do not like artists who make so much money in galleries and museums.

B. In today’s world, the Internet has a big influence on street art.

There was something wrong with my computer yesterday. When(we are)in difficulty/When we meet with difficulties/When we have difficulties ,what we need is not to blame each other but to help each other. We should do something to prevent the spread of this disease. What can we do to prevent the spread of this disease? He is likely to get the driving license with his own efforts. 其实,学生对likely这个key word的使用也是会的,完全能够使用be likely to do或It’s likely th at… Shanghai has gone through…,it has become…,这已成为很多学生的一个习惯,句子和句子中随便用逗号隔开,英语不像中文,必须要考虑到句子的结构,逗号也不能随意使用。
