TASK 1

Task1：Describe two schools you have been to and explain the differences between the two.

注意两点：第一是你去过的甚至参观过的学校，并非一定是母校，第二比较的时候尽量选择同级学校，否则难以建立起比较尺度。

Nanjing University and Tsing Hua University are two representatives of the the higher education institute in China and they possess many different features

Structure:

1.the key disciplines and major areas seem distinct respectively+ Tsing Hua emphasizes the supervision on engineering and scientific breakthrough;While Nanjing U somewhat highlights the balance between arts subjects and scientific researches

2.the style of campus construction also varies greatly+ the grey and red color consists the classic Chinese architectural style in Nanjing U;the lithe constructions look like the design of gardens in southern China+ the buildings in Tsing Hua are more likely to be grand and splendid

3.the traditional activities of the two schools are also very unique+ Students in Tsing Hua prefer the outdoor hiking or researches while students in Nanjing U may prefer to do the theoretical researches and group projects

Task1：Nowadays,most schools don’t allow the students to take snacks in classes,what is your opinion on this policy?

this policy is reasonable to maintain the serious class atmosphere and respect the rules of the school

Structure:

1.eating in class could distract students attention from listening to the professors+ decrease the study efficiency and be negative for future development+ disturb or annoy other students

2.if students eat or drink while the lecturers are delivering lessons, this could be very rude and disrespectful+ leave a bad impression on the professors+ influence professors mood in analyzing the key points

3.totally break up the daily schedule and living habits+ get up late without having breakfast and then bring food to the classroom

Task1： Talk about an issue or event that you prefer to take part in with your friends rather than by yourself and explain about the reasons.

Structure:

1.potential risks hidden in unfamiliar places+ take care of each other and assist others while running into troubles or dangers

Task1： Your school is going to organize a tour to visit some workplace,which one do you prefer to go:A science lab, the business office, the TV studio

science lab could the most attractive choice for students

Structure:

1.improving practical skills through participating in experiments and interacting with staff+ the participation-and-experience could vividly let students understand the rules and laws about different science subjects

2.basic accumulation in scientific areas could play an important role in daily life+ we get in touch with many inventions and experience numerous natural laws in everyday life,understanding the theories is necessary for us

By contrast,visiting the business office could be boring for us because of the limited room and the itinerary work+visiting TV studio could be more suitable for art students

Task1： Describe the most important decision you’ve ever made and explain why it’s important. 再次提醒遇到事件描述题一般是不主张大家跟着某种特定的格式走，按照事件发展顺序把前因后果交代清楚即可，事情本身不复杂或者不好拓展的就尽量在每个步骤点明原因进行补充。这个题目不仅点出决定是什么，注意解释重要性。

Structure:

As an old saying goes,art is the object of feeling, and the subject of nature. Since art plays an essential role for people to appreciate life and release pressure,my parents encouraged me to learn to play the piano before I attended school.At that time I was not mature enough to develop my personal interests and I didn’t have confidence in learning music. I rejected to practice everyday because it seemed boring and dull for a young child. Luckily,my parents motivated me with touching words and I really met a brilliant teacher in the tutoring class. Gradually I began to fall for the instrument and sensed the charm of music,so I decided to keep learning. This decision is so crucial to me because it developed my preschool intelligence and cultivate my learning habits. I felt it easier to start my school class than other students for the skills learnt in this course.Also,music has always been the friends for me to entertain myself.

Task1：Now you have been offered with a chance to enroll in a free course at weekend, which do you prefer to choose?

Course on starting your own business,going to public speaking and photograph

More interested in the public speech course

Structure:

1.strengthen personal confidence and expression ability+ we may face many situations that require us to speak in front of others and the public speech involves various skills and psychological preparations

2.facilitate me to better communicate with others and discover more valuable chances in daily life+ while attending interviews or activities, I could better demonstrate personal talents

Just the opposite,not everyone wants to start their own business and photograph skills should be

obtained from practice

TASK 2

Task2:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Happiness comes from helping others instead of ourselves.

this is a convincing statement that we could gain happiness from helping others

Structure:

1.Helping others like doing the voluntary service can endow us a sense of achievement+Gifts of roses, hand there are lingering fragrance＋if we go to take care of the elder people,the process may be tiring and boring,but when seeing their gratitudes,we really feel replenished

2.through helping others,we would make more friends+ get acquainted with other volunteers and the people we serve+if we meet troubles in the future,it’s easier for us to get the assistance being selfish may leave us isolated and the loneliness can reduce the felicity

Task2:Do you prefer to insist on an occupation for a lifelong time or sometimes change the career according to personal emotions or interests?

Insisting on a job for a lifelong time may endow us a sense of achievement and win respect form others+ we develop mature skills,constantly accumulate experience and finally become professors

from my perspective,it’s better to choose the job according to our interests

Structure:

1.interests could be the best source of motivation for us to succeed in the career+not everyone could select the most suitable job at the first time,so we should adjust the direction when necessary+ interests can help us deploy our talents and ability in certain area

2.the society is changing all the time,so sometimes we may need to leave some occupations without the chances of promotion+ better proceed

Task2:Some people prefer to travel alone while others prefer to travel with their family members.Which one do you prefer?

Structure:

1.traveling with others may create a more interesting atmosphere during the trip+everyone would have different angles towards beauty and various opinions after bumping into other cultures+communication or sharing experience could be a good way for us to better enjoy the trip

2.traveling with others could be much safer+we may be careless sometimes to lose things or even get lost and traveling in strange places could be a little challenging and dangerous+thus the company of family members is essential to ensure safety

3.however,when we travel alone for a very long time,we may feel lonely and boring

Task2:Which one do you prefer: taking a course taught by the professor or study by yourself?

if I have a chance to participate in the class taught by a prestigious professor,I would certainly cherish the chance

Structure:

1.the professor not only teach us some basic theories or knowledge concerned certain subjects,but also share his personal experience or comments+ these skills could play an crucial role for us to better understand even apply the knowledge

2.sitting in the class,we would have ore chances to interact with professors and other students+the communication could help us discover mistakes and deal with curiosities

3.studying alone may not help us find the problems and solve them instantly

Task2:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Higher education is more important in current society than in the past.

this statement is not very convincing because the higher education plays a very vital role both currently and in the past and it’s difficult to compare

Structure:

1.nowadays,higher education can give us more chances to find an ideal job in the future+it can enrich our knowledge and broaden horizon+build up a prudent preparation for future job

2.higher education could facilitate the development of the society all the time,especially when we face some turning points throughout history+during the industrial revolution and technological development,higher education cultivated numerous talents to support the social development

3.higher education can ensure the lifelong development of individual person,whether in the past or at present+many great leaders or scientists in the past convinced the positive effects of higher education+ they not only learned the knowledge but also learned the skills of constant learning in the university
