1 Our New Teacher （我们的新老师）

Our class is a bad class in our school. But when Mr. Johnson cam e, everything changed. He looks kind and special. Before he cam e, we thought classes were boring. And no one listened to the teachers carefully. But Mr. Johnson has m ade us the best class only half a year later. He is fond of talking with us equally and never forces us to study. He develops our interests in study ing. Besides, he tells us how to be a m an first, then to be a good student. He respects our feelings, so we all trust him and feel glad to follow what he says.

2 My Bedroom （我的卧室）

I have a small but comfortable and tidy bedroom. There are a sing le bed, a desk, a chair and a bookshelf in m y bedroom. The bookshelf is near the window. I put all the books I love best and som e classical m usic CDs on it. On the west wall there hangs a violin. It is m y favorite. I usually play it to enjoy m yself at m y spare time.

3 A Day to Rem ember

I still rem ember the first day I went to the zoo. When I was only five years old, m y

m other took m e there. I was pleased to see so m any real anim als at the sam e time. They seem ed so lovely and active. I spent a nice day. But on m y way hom e, I began to feel sorry for them. They were taken away from their parents and friends and also far away from the nature. They m ust have felt lonely, I thought. Every day, the only thing they could do was to sit there and wait for food.

4 My favorite subject

My nam e is XXX. I study in No.2 Middle school. My favorite subject is English. Because I think it is very easy and we can talk with foreigners by it. But I don't like m ath, it's not easy at all.

I am not good at it. I am good at m usic, so I like it，too.

5 My School

My school is at Haimen town. It is very big and beautiful. There are forty-three classes in it. When you com e to our school, you can see the m odern teaching building.

Our teachers work and do practice in it. Behind the building, there are two classroom buildings and a school library. In the library there are thousands and

thousands of books. After class you can borrow the books you want and also you can read them in the reading room at any tim e.

Beside our classroom, there is a big playground. At about 4:30 p.m. every day, many students play football, basketball and som e of them play tennis.

Our school is a m odel school in j-Jiangsu. I like m y school very m uch.

6 The spring Festival (春节)

Oh! It was the spring festival. it’s Chinese traditional festival. People were very happy. they went shopping, cleaned their houses, had supper together……I went to m y grandparents’hom e with m y parents. My grandparents were very happy to see us. They prepared many kinds of nice food, such as fish, m eat, vegetables and fruit. in the evening, we watched TV and lighted fireworks. we also knocked on people’s doors and gave som e presents to them. After the spring festival, we went to shanghai to go shopping. We bought clothes, shoes and som e delicious food.

I had a good holiday, I think. I also have very nice school life now.

7 My English Teacher（我的英语老师）

seem s to m e that the present teacher of English is the best one we have known so far. She is never tired of helping us in our studies. She patiently answers our questions. She had years of experience in teaching.

She teaches us how to write in sim ple, clear and correct English, and to m ake ourselves understood to English speaking people. She has m ade a deep impression on us all.

With her help we have m ade rapid progress.

I am 13 years old now. Yesterday was m y birthday. My parents had a birthday party. I invited som e friends to the party.

8 My happiest Day(我最快乐的一天)

In the m orning m y m other got up early and began to cook. My father helped her with cooking. They were so busy that they had no tim e to talk with m e.

When all m y friends arrived, m y m other brought delicious food and a big birthday cake. My father gave m e new clothes and som e books as presents. I was m oved to tears. My friends sang birthday songs for me and gave m e som e presents. I had a wonderful birthday.
