摘要：全面质量管理，起源于二十世纪四十年代，当时人类在科学技术上获得了巨大的突破，生产力水平得到了空前的发展的提高，市场竞争加剧，消费者意识开始崛起，消费者权益运动日益高涨，人们对产品和服务的质量表现的要求越来越高。人们逐渐开始意识到，光靠统计质量控制，不足以实现对质量的有效控制。质量的实现，还受到许多其他因素的影响，如员工的参与度和积极性、生产过程的合理性等等。
