I have three intern experiences in total.The recent intern was in the past summer holidays,I worked as a mechanical design engineer assistant in Siemens electrical apparatus[?p??reit?s]Co.,LTD,Suzhou.During the summer intern,I created some local database of Sirius contactors in Cadim for China Line project,changed the technical standard for drawings and carried out process failure mode and effects analysis.

Database content:ID card was created for every part including its Id No,structure relationship,its material,drawings and so on.

1.What’s the process failure mode and effects analysis?

It is an important method fort reliability https://www.360docs.net/doc/779488491.html,ually,it is a discussion process and there is a table with different kinds of contents needed to be filled in including the possible failure modes,its dangerous level,its potential effect and ways to avoid the failure.Dangerous level is divided into ten,10points corresponds to the highest level and1point corresponds to the lowest level.The failure effect always determines its dangerous level.

4.Example:Spring plate

During the assembly process of contactors,there is a V spring plate needed to be fixed into a groove on bottom of the base carrier.But the problem is the carrier opening is not large enough,and it is not so accurate and efficient to manually fix the spring plate.If the v spring plate is not in the right place,it will affect the disconnect action of contactor when power is shut down.Than,we designed a tool with an electromagnet and a v-type head which does exactly match with the v spring plate.Once the electromagnet[??lektr???m?gn?t]power is on,the spring plate would be sucked up by the tool.Than we can easily fix the spring plate into the groove and than shut down power,take the tool out,it’s ok.

5.Is there anything you have learned?

Everyone is supposed to be responsible for his/her work.(Because the work is not only a duty one person carries out individually,it belongs to the team all.)If you have no idea how to do the work,you should listen more and watch more,but speak less.You should keep curious to the knowledge and technology we have not master. (Only you have curiosity,would you have innovative power.)

6.Would you like to stay at Siemens?Why?

Actually,they have given me an offer after summer inter,but I rejected.Low-voltage electrical industry is a developed industry and there have not so many opportunities to training in that the company,so I think the growing space may be finite.Besides,I am very interested in automotive industry and hope to join such a company.So,you know,I come here today!

7.Technical standard?

Research and Development in German is supposed to orderly and efficient import to the local factory before local design and manufacturing.During the import,we should transform the drawing standards,including the form, language,technique require.At the same time,we are also responsible for looking up a substitute material which is available in china and judged whether the part produced by that material satisfies the china GB by corresponding test.

1.Why did you do liner static analysis?

The FEA analysis is used to simulate and assess the stress and deformation of the part in daily use.If there is stress concentration or large deformation,the structure of the part should be modified to satisfy the strength requirement.

ANSYS is a great soft in the field of finite element analysis.With it,we could do many different kinds of analysis,such as structure,fluent,thermal and magnet.

There are three main parts in an analysis,preprocessor,solution and postprocession.In preprocessor,we need to establish the3D model,choose the right element type,input material property data,and finally mesh the model. As long as we have done this,it can be solved.At last,we can observe the analysis results,such as stress,strain, temperature,and deformation.

Project experience

1.Could you tell me something about your research project?

With pleasure[?ple??],my postgraduate research is surface treatment of Ti alloy which is used for implanting into the humans baby.The body’s special environment speeds up the process of wear and corrosion,so it is necessary to enhance wear and corrosion performance the implanted alloys.In my research,nitriding[?naitraiding] treatment is combined with laser shot peening for solving this problem.Firstly,the metal was heated by large power continue laser in nitrogen[?naitr?d??n]environment,this is the nitriding[?naitraiding]treatment.Secondly, the treated surface will be coated with black lacquer[?l?k?]for absorbing the laser to evaporate and explode. Meanwhile,3mm thickness water is covered in front of blank lacquer to improve the explosion pressure.When the laser is on.In this step,the harmful stress which is bringing by nitriding treatment is removed and the surface can be hardened.

2.Is there others process?What are the advantages involving in the process within your research?

Usually,changing the elements composition of alloy is an effective way.But,it is t finite to enhance the performance of materials through this way.

Advantages:1.With the help of laser,the process temperature can be quickly raised to the temperature we want.It is extremely faster than common heat treatment.

2.After laser shot peening,there will be beneficial compressive stress.

3.It is a green process without pollution.

3.what should be pay great attention to?

Choose the appropriate[??pr??pri?t]process parameters.Not every parameter would result a good effect.

4.How about your research result?

It is found that the combining process can apparently enhance the wear and corrosion performance of Ti alloy through friction and corrosion test.
