Tom went to primary school in the countryside. Near his classroom, there was a small pond where two geese were raised. Students were all fond of them.

One day, when Tom passed the school kitchen, he heard the cooks talking about killing

Tom was invited by a university in New York City for a job interview which was set at 10:00 a.m. Tom had never been to the city and he wasn’t aware of the heavy morning traffic.

When he was nearing the downtown, his bus was only able to move forward at a very slow

pace with so many cars on the road. So he reached the university an hour late and missed the

interview. Fortunately, he was offered another interview which was again at 10:00 a.m. two

days later. Tom was very embarrassed about being late and decided that it would never happen

again. So he started out very early on the day of the second interview. It was a freezing winter

morning and Tom made his way in the falling snow. He reached the university two hours

earlier and waited at the gate of the building. When the director came to work, he was

surprised to see Tom so early. Tom explained that he did not want to be late again. The

director called him in and gave him an offer right away, saying that a man who cared so much

about time should be trusted.
