The Importance of Trees

As we all know, trees are very useful. They are of great benefit to man as follows: First, trees provide us with wood and other products; Second, their roots can allow the rain to sink in and keep the soil, so they help to prevent droughts and floods. Trees can clean air and beautiful life.

Unfortunately, nowadays in many parts of the world lots of people fail to realize the importance of trees. They have cut trees down in large numbers without a plan,which makes the soil washed away. They don't know where there no trees, the rain washed away the surface of the soil and this causes floods.

We ought to plant trees each year and carefully look after new trees in order not to make the forest slowly disappear. Only' in this way can we make the forest serve man forever.

Water Is the Source of Life

As the source of life, water is indispensable (不可缺少的) to human beings. People consume much water in production and daily life. Agriculture and industry account for most of mankind＇s water usage. Without adequate water supplies, human future is threatened.

Nowadays water shortages touch a large percentage of world population.According to one UN study in 1999, nearly one in five people lacks safemclean waterg WaterWelated diseases in some areas are killing people. Population explosion and water pollution make water crisis increasingly urgent. Water related problems are likely to worsen in the foreseeable future. The situation is really alarming (令人震惊的). Therefore, immediate and effective measures must be taken to protect and exploit water resources. Remember, where there is water, there is life.If we could not make proper use of water resources on earth, the lastdrop of water would be our teardrop

The Importance of Electricity

When you go to work in the morning and find that traffic lights don't work, the traffic jam will certainly happen.A patient needs to be operated on at once. What will happen if the operation cannot be made because ofthe electricity.Without electricity, we can neither watch TV, listen to the tape, nor chat on line. Electricity is closely related to our daily life。

How terrible it would be if there were no electricity!

A report on the meeting

We held a meeting about our newspaper after school. Tony, Tom and I were at the meeting. We elected Tom to be the chief editor. Then, Tom took charge of the meeting. They elected me to be the secretary. I took notes for the meeting. There were some questions to discuss. We will discuss them at the next meeting in one week.

My favorite animal

My favorite animal is tortoise. Tortoise walk not fast. But I like the tortoise. Why?

Because, tortoise is a cute animal. It have a short tail and a four short foot. It have a little head and a hard shell. They are forty-five little and cute tortoise in My home. They like to play in the water. When they afraid some thing. They wall run fast. They like to eat the fish. I often buy some small fish to them to eat. They can catch the fish fast. First, they fake(假) sleep. When the fish swim near they mouth. They catch the fish fast and bit the fish head. So, the fish die. They can eat the fish. In winter. They like to sleep in the sand. When they sleep, they don’t eat any food

My favorite touring place

Three days ago our families decided to visit the Great Wall.

Today we met at the bus stop early in the morning. When we were on the bus, we saw a lot of new buildings and new shops. Beijing was taller than before, I thought.

It took us about two hours to get to the Great Wall. When the Great Wall appeared in front of us, we could not help thinking how wonderful it is! I wondered how the people in the past built it without modem machines. It is said you can see it from the space. I was proud of it.

After coming home I made up my mind to study harder than before. When I grow up, I will work hard to make our country more beautiful and stronger.

My family member

I have a big family. There are 6 people in my family. They are my grandparents, my parents, my sisiter and I. My grandparents are both teachers. My father is a doctor and my mohter is a nurse. They both work in the same hospital. They work very hard. My sisiter and I are both students. But we study in different schools. Both of us study very hard and do well in our lessons. I love my family. I think it is the happiest one in the world.
