Question:What are the reasons that cause more and more traffic accidents in China today?

I’m very glad to be here to give a lecture to you. Today we will talk about the transportaion and traffic.

It can be said that transportation and traffic have been a part of our lives.We cann’t live without them.

But what the transportaion and traffic are they?

Transportaion is………….. All man-made device for human to travel and transport

Traffic is……Traffic refers to all the vehicles that are moving along the roads in a particular area

This lecture consists of 4parts. Urban transportation,Traffic accident,Traffic jams and How to improve it.

As we all know there are so many different kinds of transportation in the city. Such as Public buses,Taxies,Bicycles,Subway,Light rail.Maglev train and so on.

Then I will tell you some advantages and disadvantages about them.

Public buse is the most widely used amone them. Especially in the old days. Why is it so populary ? because it is cheaper ,and you can spend the same mony go from one station to anyother station.Although it can take many people ,it is terribly crowed yet,especially in the Working hours. Buse runs only during the prescribed period and only to some particular place,pherhaps somewhere remote isn’t open to traffic at all.

Taxi is very confortable and quick,what should the passengers consider is only the destination where you want to go.except it,it is none of your

businese.But the cost is a little expensive which you can see fares clearly marked on the taxi https://www.360docs.net/doc/889803668.html,pared to the bus, taxi run all day nearly, they congregate at railway stations,airports or hotels and they don’t have a constant route.

Bicycle is the simplest instrument for short transportation,especially prevalent in high school. Why is it so populary?Because it is convenient for students to go to class,and we can look it as a method to do exercise and build up our bodies . It also can run in a narrow street arround cities ，which other vehicles are impossible. The biggest shortness is slow.

Subway supply a fast and convenient way to go around the city. It is generally underground so that it dosen’t make troubles to the traffic jams on the land. And The subway has no additional control from a human, its sole means of control is from its own brain computer.But there are very few subways in china mostly in majior large cities.

Light Rail is a new type of railway ,but something like subway. it is generally on the ground or on the https://www.360docs.net/doc/889803668.html,pared to the trainditional train ,the light rail is famous for its’ speed and environmental protection.it is much safer,faster, low-noisy and low-pollutanal. Because it use electric to supply the energy to move instead of the fule.

What’s the differences between subway and light rail.

There are two greatest differents. First is their ability to hold the biggest one-way traffic peak hours,The former is larger than later. The other difference is that the axle of subway is more than 13 tons (heavy) and the light rail is less than 13 tons contrary.

Although there are a lot of benefits.

It is also dangerous.. If the accident occurs the blood will become river. It is terrible,and it will not only kill so many pepole, but also lead a long period of scare in society. Do you remember the accident a train went off the tracks,and crash down from the bridge last year.

Topic 3 job and career

Question:What jobs are popular? Do you know some newly arisen careers

? A job is work for which you receive pay. It is a regular activity

performed in exchange for payment. A position in which one is employed. A specified duty or responsibility. A specific piece of work to be done for a set fee.What you want to get most from a job is salary.

? A career is a lifetime journey of building and making good use of your skills, knowledge and experiences. It is the total of all events and relationships in our lives: family, friends,education, work, and leisure activities.

? First, the major Concerns. Job: someone with a job is concerned about getting a steady paycheck. He will do those things required to keep receiving that paycheck: show up on time, complete all his tasks satisfactorily, and get along with his co-workers and boss.Career: someone on a career track wants to learn more about his career and network with his colleagues to create further opportunities. He is willing to take risks to further himself. He is more concerned with job satisfaction and pay is secondary.

? Future Outlook.Job – people with a job may plan to hold it for a fixed amount of time. A job is a means to earn money either for schooling, family, travel, etc. Once the need for that income is eliminated, most people are more than happy to quit their job. They may later take up a new job in a similar or different field.Career –people view their career as a life-long endeavor. While they might not plan to be at the same company, they hope to do the same type of work until they retire. Many career people continue with their career as a consultant or advisor after they officially retire.

? The major difference between a job and a career comes from how you look at your work and how much you like doing your work.? I think Jobs related to IT industry and nutriology are popular Because ,With the development of society and quality of people’s life has been improved these jobs are widely required and you can get well payed.If I have gratuted,I’ll also search for a job related to IT industry.Today more and more newly-born careers are known by us selected by many people as their profession and also know something about these newly-born careers.For example,with the development of the bullet train.,the staffs on the bullet train are known by more and more people and now we call them “dongge”or “dongjie”.

Topic 4 interpersonal relationship

Question ：What interpersonal relationships should we deal with in our lives

Answer：Since we are social beings, the quality of our lives depends in large measure on out interpersonal relationships。So we should know what is the interpersonal relationship，and how many relationships are arround us in our life。

Interpersonal relationship is a kind of mental relationship

it reflects a mentality that individual or group seeks for things to

meet its social needs.

There are so many different interpersonal relationships we have to deal with everyday。A typical example is the relationship between our family members。Parents give us life and bring us up with their hard work and we should give them our respect and love in return,which is also the traditional virtue for our chinese nation。Only in this way can we make more contribution to building the harmonious families and society in our country.

I think another common interpersonal relationship can be called team relationship。It means social interaction with the crowd,and cooperation is very important in today’s society. We all know that teamwork plays an more and more import role in competition,teamwork needs good interpersonal relationps.if one person cannot get on well with the colleagues,there will be no cooperation.no cooperation means no success.

Certainly We also have to deal with the relationship with our lovers,friends,teachers,neighbors and so on.in a word,we should Building a good interpersonal relationship,or it will bring some bad results。

Topic 5 travelling

Question: Where do you dream to go to? Why?/Why pepole like to travel?

It is exciting to visit different places. As you travel, you will see beautiful sceneries typical of the region. Besides, you can meet and make friends with people of different colors and races. Finally, you can get to know the customs and living habits of the local people. Today people are so fond of travelling that tourism has become one of the faster growing industries in most countries.

The main reason why people travel is, perhaps, for pleasure. For example,

having worked hard throughout the weekdays, people will find a widened trip to the nearby mountains or beaches a real relaxation. For another example, spending an annual holiday travelling abroad is an especially satisfying experience for those who do not have much of an opportunity to be away from their homelands. When people return from their travel, they will generally feel fresh and energetic, ready to work harder.

Travelling is also one of the best means for learning. You may have read or heard about something but you can never get an accurate picture of it until you see it for yourself. Seeing is believing. Furthermore, if you area careful observer, you can learn much during your travel about the geography, biology, and history of the places you visit. No matter how well educated you are, there is always a lot for you to learn through travelling. The knowledge acquired from travel, as you will have found in your life, is no less valuable than that from any influential reference book.

Question：What is love and marriage?

Nowadays, people defined it as: based on certain material conditions and the common ideal of life, two people in their heart form the most sincere admiration for each other, and eager to become his\her lifelong partner. It is the strongest, most stable and specific feelings.

Marriage is the formal and public commitment of two people to spend the rest of their lives together。

Love and marriage are closely related and promote each other.

A man and a woman may freely make friends with each other.But they cannot talk of marriage until their friendship has ripened into love.In arranging their marriage,they may take other things into consideration,but they always regard love as the most important thing.Only with the base of love can the marriage be happiness.

Many couples live a happy life because their marriage is based on true love .On the contrary,some people marry for the sake of money only,and their marriage is destined to be a failure.

Numerous facts prove that marriage based on true love lasts and cannot be easily split up whereas marriage without love does not endure and may end in divorce.

Topic 7 past and future

Past or future don't matter; only the body with its mind relates us to a defined space-time.

　Do you condemn yourself for things which you did--or failed to do--in the past? Everyone does this at some point. However, if you want to lead a successful and productive life, it is imperative that you release the past and not blame yourself for events which have already transpired and which cannot be changed.

The successful person takes this approach: Learn from past mistakes and make adjustments in future behavior. The strategy of berating yourself for past conduct solves nothing and only serves to lower your self-esteem. You create a vicious cycle where negative experiences and negative feelings are reinforced, which leads to more negative outcomes and more negative feelings.If you insist on dwelling in the past, I suggest that you focus on your past successes. Visualizing and thinking about past successes is an excellent way to build confidence and self-esteem. What you think about is what you become. Therefore, when you concentrate on your successes, you help to create future successes.When you find yourself starting to dwell on past negative experiences, immediately halt and remind yourself: 和There is nothing I can do now which will change what happened. I learned a valuable lesson and will act in a more constructive manner next time.和 Regardless of what you have done--or failed to do--the only sane approach is to accept it and move forward.

We all know that the price of houses is higher in China today. In many

Chinese cities especially in the big ones, the speed of rising in price of houses is rapid and surprising. The price of houses has deviated the income level of many common people seriously. It is awkward that a common person cannot afford a common house in our country.

What reasons have led to the appearance mentioned above on earth? In my opinion, there are 3 main and essential reasons about it.

Frist of all, the price of land which has changed more and more higher in recent years is the most important factor. Now more and more governments depend on selling the land to keep their income. The main way of land sale is auction, it has to pay more money to the government. The expensive land increases the cost of the house, certainly, the cost will shift to the consumers at last.

Secondly, there is much more foam composition accompanies with the economy of the real estate. At present, more and more people need purchase a new house, which shows there is a good market future on the real estate.

Thirdly, the government is short of the function what it should have. It was a pity that only less people had enjoyed the preferential housing in lasted 10 years. The government neglected its duty, Take this point, the government should be partly in charge of the price of housing.

In a word, the reason influences the price of housing is complex. But there is a simple fact, Chinese government must be attach importance to more and more higher price of housing.

Topic 9 Chinese and foreigners

With China's door opened wider to the outside world, more and more foreigners come to the country for work, studies and sightseeing. Out of such a large contingent of foreigners it is quite natural for one or two to behave rudely or even savagely. Upon this we may well show our indignation and treat them according to law. But it seems less necessary if we take easy such a rare case instead of a matter of principle. Besides, we should examine ourselves too.

Taking the example of Real Madrid's lately tour to China, reports criticized a few group members accompanying the team for behaving arrogantly and rudely, it is of course a problem of their "quality". However, shouldn't our organizers be partly blamed for their over-enthusiasm that has spoiled those elated football stars?

What's more, sometimes our own behaviors don't turn out satisfactory upon

something seeming to be a trivial. On August 4 the Wuhan Evening carried the following report. At 9am of August 3, a sweltering hot day, Mrs. Yan was waiting for a taxi by a taxi stop with her two small children. Many other people were also waiting and when a car was approaching they rushed on. So Mrs. Yan, holding her children, was unable to get her turn when five or six cars passed. At the moment another car arrived a foreign man in his fifties, who had been waiting beside Mrs. Yan, rushed over, opened the door, made a warm gesture to invite Mrs. Yan to enter, and after she and her children seated themselves in the car, he closed the door and walked away. Only by then Mrs. Yan understood that the foreigner, who had been standing under the scorching sun for quite a long time, was only intentionally to get a car for her instead of for himself. Mrs. Yan later wrote specially to the local newspaper to express her thanks.

According to our logic, the foreigner may, through such a thing, look down upon the "quality" of the Chinese nationals, but actually it is we who first bundled the matter up with the "principle", for when people were talking over the matter they didn't forget to praise the foreign man as a "living Lei Feng". But I'd rather believe that the foreigner only did what he considered as what he should do in a civilized society.

The matter reminds us that when we criticize some foreigners' rude behaviors we should also learn from those who behave better than us. After all, basic manners are required at any time and in any civilized country no matter in the past or at present.

1. What is the fashion? What are the differences between men’s fashion and women’s fashion?

Fashion is a life style. Every one can have his own unique and wonderful understanding of life, thus forming his view of what is fashion. (Fashion is something that is really popular, and lot of people like to follow it. )

A car is the symbol of a man. Cars are the fashion that they are every after. Social status, personal achievement and male dignity are what they pursue, so they will probably define fashion from these aspects. While for women, fashion is something that can add to their female charm. Latest fashions, perfumes and cosmetics are always in the center of their attention.

2. What type of clothing do you wear in different occasions?

Basically, I prefer clothes of simple styles such as jeans and T-shirt when I am on the campus

or with my friends. Sometimes, I need to wear school uniform.

3. Why do many young people like to spend so much money on things of famous brand?

First, I think they do this because now they can afford that. When people get rich, they will pursue higher quality of life. Things of famous brand must be famous for a reason, such as quality, style and taste, thus they can satisfy those people’s need. Of course, they have to pay more on them than on things with ordinary quality.

Well, another reason is that famous brands are symbol of status in China, like watches and cars. People want to show that they are rich to buy those things, maybe this will indicate their status. In other words, they are kind of enslaved（沉溺）by vanity(虚荣).
