1.自我介绍

I am supposed to get my undergraduate degree in the university of science and technology Beijing, majoring in materials. Mainly, my introduction shall cover three aspects.

First, when it comes to my study, it is through three years of hard work that I have built up a solid foundation of professional knowledge reflected not only by a decent ranking of first among 60peers, but also by the fact that I take an active part in various contests ranging from mathematical modeling to physics. And luckily, my efforts in preparations for them also lead to some academic honors and awards. These contests have expanded my knowledge, rather they have enhanced my comprehensive strength as well. Take mathematical modeling contest as an example. The contest usually lasts for three days. Two teammates and I must finish the work including data collecting, analyzing, modeling and paper writing. Since the time is limited and the work is fairly

difficult and complex, we usually have to burn the night oil, thinking, programming and sometimes arguing. Such experiences taught me how to communicate and cooperate with others. Meanwhile, my skills of data analysis, modeling and paper writing have been significantly improved.

Second, I will talk about my scientific research experience. When I was sophomore, I participated in a project of science and technology plan focusing on heat treatment process, microstructure and property of ship high-strength-toughness steel. The effect of tempering temperature, holding temperature, holding time, and tempering time on the mechanical properties of the heat-treated plates were investigated. The microstructures of the hot-rolled and heat-treated plates were observed

by scanning electron microscope. All these experiences remind me that theoretical principles and practical methods are the key to research activities.

Third, I will briefly describe my social activities. I joined in

the Youth League Committee of my institute, and I have worked in the organization department. When I was the head of department,the

successful completion of recruiting activities makes student

organization grow steadily. And I planned and organized a series of student growth project to strengthen the communication of departments. What?s more, I won the title of "outstanding members".

The above is a simple introduction of my college life. As for myself, in my spare time, I like reading and running. I always hold that what I?ve learned these years is not enough to carry on dependent

research thus I am eager for more.

For example, during the past 3 years, I have got all sorts of awards, suchas National scholarship. 4.为什么想读研,将来愿意从事的方向,读研时的打算

Although I grasp the essential knowledge of the major and can do manythings in a superficial levelat present, I am not competent to do thingsprofessionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I thinkfurther study is still urgent for me.

The major that I hope pursue for my further education is tribology which is interdisciplinary science. Because I find tribology are playing a more and more important role in our modern society. And nowadays in China, with therecognition by the government, our domestic manufacturing industry isgrowing rapidly and that may provide a lot of chances to us.

I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduatetime. And I hope I can form a systematic view of tribology andmake a solid foundation for future profession.

1.what does your family usually do for the weekend?

We will go to visit our grandma together , who insists to live in the country , with a lot of delicious food . and help my grandma to clean her big house and do the dishes and the laundry . then we will have a dinner together .

2.what did you enjoy most about your campus life?

Worked together with my friends who I got to know in the campus . the work we did is always tiresome ,but we felt happy

3. What is your greatest strength?

I think my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job. I?ve set some high goals for myself. For example,I have been doing 45 minutes of oral practice every day sincefour months ago. Therefore, I speak English more and more fluently.

4. What is your greatest weakness?(你最大的弱点是什么?)

I…m such a perfectionist that I will not stop until a job is well done. As a result,my schedule is very tight and sometimes I become ineffective because of great pressure.

In my opinion, Tsinghua university provides peoplewith enough room to get further enrichment. This is the first reason.

The second one is that I want to do research in tribologysciencethroughout my life. It is a pleasure to be with my favorite work for lifetime. I suppose this is the most important factor in my decision.

Thirdly,I can do many things in a superficial level, but I am not competentto do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge andability.so further study is still urgent for me. And It is necessary to seize any chance for self-development, especiallyin this competitive modern world.

In a word, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for futureprofession.

First,I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in mygraduate time. What is more, I hope I can form a systematic view of tribology andput theory into practice in order to make a solid foundationfor future profession. Then I will try to learn English well

7.介绍你的家乡(about hometown)

Iam from Shanxi,which is located to the west of the Taihang Mountains, the east of the Yellow River. The industrial base of shanxi

is strong and rich in mineral resources, including coal as well as aluminum. Shanxi has much natural landscape and humanistic landscape. Well, the ancient city of ping yao and mount wutai had

been listed as world cultural heritages. Mount wutai is famous as a Buddhist holy and it is one of the four most famous Buddhist mountains

in china. Besides, it is a beautiful summer resort. What is more, shanxi?s noodles with a long history. According to check, there are almost 300 kind of noodles. They are not only tasty, but also have many special meanings. For example, a person who has birthday will

Yes, it?s very important. It plays an irreplaceable role both in myacademic study

and future career. When I look for some learning materialon-line

for my research paper, the Chinese information is usually notenough, and the English information works as an essential complement.Furthermore,

when I command English,work efficiency will be greatlyimproved because the time of the translation between languages is shorter.

After my graduation, I want to be a teacher in collegeor scientific researcher to make

good use of the theories that I will have learned during the period of PhD. I think that I havethe potential to be a researcher.

Five years are quite a long time, I would like to do some research and spend my efforts on the knowledge of my major.

I made a great progress in the past few years with the helpof my classmates and friends and under the guidance of my teachers.
