初中英语任务型阅读训练（二）

任务型阅读围绕一定的逻辑顺序展开，考查学生的思维能力、分析能力、词汇能力以及挖掘语言含义的能力等。任务型阅读题目围绕不同的阅读技能和语言应用而展开，涉及词性转换、词语释义、同义替换、归纳演绎、结构分析、细节理解等。任务型阅读有字数限制，表达部分也暗含有一些要求，诸如大小写、答题的一致性及词性等等，这些隐性的规范需要学生自己去揣摩。任务型阅读也随着阅读材料内容、文体、题目设置、答题要求的不同而呈现不同的难易度。学生学会分析语篇，加工信息，完成文字表达的任务，显得十分重要。

Most people have jobs. They go to work nearly every day. Some people are lucky. Either they have very interesting jobs or they earn a lot of money. Most people are not so lucky. Either their jobs are a bit boring or they don?t get well paid.

The most interesting jobs are often the most difficult. People take a long time to learn how to do them. Doctors study for at least six years after finishing school. Airline pilots study longer. They have to learn to fly small aircraft first, and then slowly move up to bigger and bigger aircraft. Most airline pilots are at least 30 years old.

Some young people have interesting and well-paid jobs. Many successful athletes are young. Football and tennis stars are usually under 35. Older people usually cannot play these sports very well. They cannot move fast enough. Golf, however, is a good sport for older people. Many successful golfers are quite old.

Most people work until they are 60 or 65 years old. Then they retire and have a lot of spare time. Some people never retire though. These people usually have very interesting jobs. Writers, artists, musicians and actors usually work until they die. Their work is their life.

Studies show that a teen needs over nine hours of sleep a night．When tired, they all become more easily stressed．And stress makes everything seem worse than it really is．

Here is another tip to help you prepare for the first day of school．You?d better start going to bed and getting up at your school time two weeks before school begins．Then your body and mind will become rested and prepared for the first day．

Get involved

The best way to make new friends is to join school clubs．Choose something you enjoy and you?ll meet people who share your interests．

All in all, with the rest, preparation and the good mood, you will certainly have a great school year．

Turtles in Malaysia are still quite common. That is to say, they are still to be found in the wild. There are two kinds of turtles in Malaysia: land and marine （海生的） turtles. There are 7 species（物种） of marine turtles in the world. Four of them lay their eggs on the Malaysian beaches. These are: the leaderback turtles, hawksbill turtle, olive ridley turtle and the green turtle.

In West Malaysia, there is a long sand beach. From June to August every year, giant turtles come to the beach to lay eggs. They appear only late at night to lay their eggs in holes. They dig these holes with their hind flippers.

When they have finished laying their eggs, they fill up the holes with sand and return to the sea. The mother turtles never see their babies. The hot sun keeps the eggs warm and until they hatch（孵化）. Then the baby turtles will go back to the sea to begin their new lives. In the past, many people came to dig up the eggs after the mother turtles had left. They took the eggs to town to sell.

Since 1962, the Malaysian government has built high fences（围篱） around the sand beach to stop anyone from digging turtle eggs, because people are afraid that there will be fewer and fewer turtles there.

Nearly every parent says that we never grow up. In fact, we are maybe 16 or 17 years old. In their eyes, we are always little ones and always do wrong things. For example, when I need to stay at home alone, they always worry about me and my life without them.

Most parents always think that they have offered the best things they can to make their children live in a comfortable world. They buy their children pretty clothes, cool shoes, expensive school things, and often a thousand-yuan-cost bike. They think that they have done everything that they can for their dear children. In return, they only want their children to get good results in the examinations.

But why their children still can?t understand them? Does it mean that they still want more material (物质的) things? No. As a matter of fact, what they want is a true family. What does a true family mean? I think it means a place where we can hide ourselves from the cold world outside. From here, we can get warmth, we can get consolation (安慰), and we can get happiness. And one important thing is that we should be stronger and more confident in the outside world because we know that we have a family.

So I think that parents should sit down to talk with their children to let them know that they have a true family, so the children and their parents could understand each other more and more. Then, no children will be regarded as little ones.
