Even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out
the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Youth
Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a
matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity,
of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists
in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring
back to dust.
Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

英语书法竞赛活动方案
会川中学2014~2015学年度第二学期 七年级英语书法竞赛活动方案 一、活动目的： 为了培养良好的英语学习习惯，在学习中享受书写的快乐，为学生个人以后学习英语打下一个坚实的基础，为了激发学生的练字兴趣，进一步普及规范英文的书写，培养学生良好的书写习惯，给学生一个展示自我的舞台，检阅学生英语书法的基本功，使他们重视英语的学习，重视英文书写的质量，特举办本次英语书法比赛。 二、参赛对象：七年级全体同学 三、活动时间:2015年6月8日至 2015年6月11 日 （一）第一阶段：初赛（2015年6月8 日至 2015年6月9 日） 各班利用课外活动时间，以各班为单位由各班英语教师组织竞赛。每位英语任课教师选出10名同学参加决赛。 （二）第二阶段：决赛（ 2015年6月11 日） 四、决赛活动安排： （一）决赛时间： 2015年6月11 日课外活动及午自习时间，比赛总时间为40分钟。 （二）决赛地点：东教学楼四楼多媒体教室 （三）决赛参赛人员：每位英语任课教师10名同学，6月10日第一节课前由英语任课教师将决赛人员名单上报七年级英语教研室组长处。 （四）决赛书写内容：冀教版（衔接三年级起点）七年级下册Lesson 36 电子邮件正文 （五）决赛赛场布置及监考教师： （六）决赛评委：七年级全体英语教师 （七）决赛统分教师： 五、书写规则及要求：
（一）统一用黑色钢笔书写，书写用笔自备。 （二）现场比赛用纸由学校统一提供，且不得使用私自备用纸，如在比赛过程中纸张破损或涂改可向负责老师申请再提供1张纸，如再有破损或涂改则不再提供纸张。参赛作品中纸张涂改严重或撕损者视退出比赛。 （三）要求作品整洁、美观、大方，书写规范，不漏字添字，不涂改。 （四）为评比公正，要求学生在书写纸前面不写姓名、班级，只写序号，在书写纸后面书写姓名、班级。（在书写纸前面写姓名、班级者按照作废处理，不再评分） 六、评分标准：总分100分（在书写纸前面写姓名、班级者；参赛作品中纸张涂改严重或撕损者视退出比赛）。 （一）书写规范（40分） （二）不漏字添字，不涂改（30分） （三）作品整洁、美观、大方（30分） 七、奖项设置：一等奖5名，二等奖10名，三等奖15名， 七年级英语备课组 2015年6月8 日
