听力理解
人们在日常活动中经常与数字打交道，数字类试题便成为听力试题不可缺少的类型，它涵盖面广，涉及日期、时间、数码、价格、年龄、年份、季度、星期以及街道、楼房门牌号、电话号码等。
数字类题可分为辨别型和计算型两种。
辨别型也叫直接型，即答案在录音中直接给出，而书面选择项排列出几个与录音信息中近音、近形的数字，用以混淆视听、迷惑考生，以考查考生对数字的辨音、辨形能力。
计算型是指录音信息中至少出现两个数字，考生不仅要听清这些数字概念，而且要搞清楚它们之间的关系，用到简单的加减乘除运算，通过快速的心算确定答案。
（一）辨别型
示例：
How many trees do Americans cut down in one year?
A. 50 million.
B. 85 million.
C. 850 million.
录音原文：
A: I read an article about paper to be exact, about how much Americans use up each year.
B: Why are you so interested in that?
A: Because Americans use so much paper. Many trees have to be cut down.
B: According to the article, how much do Americans use?
A: About 15 million tons of paper a year.

解析：本题问的是美国人一年砍伐多少棵树。答案中的三个选项发音相近，所以
考生应对录音中的数字要注意，录音中出现了两个数字，一个是15 million tons of paper
a year，另一个是850 million trees a year，根据设问很容易得出答案C。

技巧方法：做这类题目时考生不仅要听清这些数字，而且要搞清楚它们之间的关系。例如就时间题而言，在把握时间表达法的基础上，首先要听清录音中时间与发生时间之间的关系(关注与时间有关的副词)，尤其要注意时间上的提前和推后，然后再进行正确的换算。高频词汇more/less、late/early、fast/slow、before/after。
