专业英语四级八级考试介绍

英语专业四、八级统测是为检测本科英语专业教学大纲执行情况而进行的本科教学考试。一、报名资格

参加本科专业英语四级统测报名对象为：

（1）经教育部备案或批准的高等院校中英语专业二年级本科生。

（2）经教育部备案或批准的高等院校中修完英语专业基础阶段教学大纲规定课程的二、三年制最后一学年的大专生。

（3）教育部备案或批准有学历的成人高等教育学院中四年制即脱产学习的英语专业（第二学年）本科生；五年制即不脱产学习的、修完英语专业基础阶段教学大纲规定课程（第三学年）的本科生。不脱产的三年制大专生，必须在第三学年时方可报名参加专业英语四级测试。（4）重点外语类院校中，非英语专业的本科生中当年参加英语六级考试且成绩在60分以上，可参加当年专业英语四级考试。

（5）参加四级测试的考生只有一次补考机会。

参加本科专业英语八级统测报名对象为：

（1）经教育部备案或批准的高等院校中英语专业四年级本科生。

（2）经教育部批准有学历的成人高等教育学院中完成四年制即脱产学习的英语专业（第四学年）本科生；五年制即不脱产学习英语专业（第五学年）的本科生。

（3）非英语专业六级考试通过的学生可报名参加专业英语八级考试。

（4）参加八级测试的考生只有一次补考机会。

凡未通过基础阶段（TEM4）统测的考生，也可参加高年级阶段（TEM8）的统测。

英语专业的专生本学生因超出英语专业基础阶段（TEM4）统测规定的考试年限（祥见报名对象），一律不得参加英语专业基础阶段（TEM4）统测，但可在英语专业专生本学习的最后一学期参加高年级阶段（TEM8）统测；因各种原因未在规定的考试年限参加TEM4（第四学期）或TEM8（第八学期）统测的专业英语考生，不得以补考名义参加次年的TEM4或TEM8统测。

听

力

包括听情景对话、长时间的交谈、英语广播、还有复合式听写。前两部分的难度和六级差不多，关键是后两部分。英语广播主要是VOA和BBC的新闻，没有什么应试技巧可言，关键要考平时多听这两个电台的广播来培养语感。复合式听写是听力部分乃至全卷中最难的，要求先听一段用标准语速英语念的文章（只念一遍），在放音的同时要求考生做听力笔记，然后再根据自己所做的笔记去完成一个没有提供选项的完型填空（填十个单词进去），这部分需要有很好的速记能力，要分清语篇里哪些是关键词，哪些不是，当然有遗漏是在所难免，但是要尽量争取少有遗漏，还是那句话：要注意句首、句尾的总结性的话，还有带判断语气的话。阅

分为一般阅读和快速阅读两部分。前者的应试技巧和六级无二，而后者则要求在十分钟的时间内看完六到七篇文章，每一篇文章都附有一个或两个问题。就我的经验而言，这些题目不会涉及对文章主题思想等深层问题的理解，都是一些比较肤浅的问题。这部分要求考生具备一目几行的阅读技巧和很强的搜索信息的能力，如果这方面的能力比较强的话，这类快速阅读应该是比较容易得分的

改

错

在错误点的设置方面与四六级改错相比增加了“逻辑错误”部分，这个的难度是比较大的，有时候替换错词的词和其在本质上没有任何联系，主要看是否符合上下文的语境还有表达方式是否妥当等方面。

翻

译

包括英译汉和汉译英。首先当然要阅读相关的介绍翻译常识的文章、书籍，掌握一些翻译的基本技巧，但最主要的还是要勤练笔，当然要扩大词汇量是不可缺少的。翻译的文章大多是说理性的。2001年的翻译试题，汉译英出得比较容易，英译汉部分出得较难（涉及很抽象的伦理学）。

写

作

如果你已经具备较高的写作能力的话，这部分会让你觉得做十分过瘾，它要求写一篇不少于300字的短文，题目一般会给出（几乎全是议论文），然后给你充分的自由发挥的空间。做八级作文切忌模仿四六级进行格式化作文，那样的作文一定得不到高分的，在这里要求你能充分调动你的创造性和写作的技巧。2001年的作文题是 The impact of Internet on....,我写的题目是The impact of Internet on people's way of life.自我感觉是在英语考试中写过的的一篇文章。

三、报名时间

四级和八级考试的地点为各个高校的教务处，凭各个学校的学生证集体报名---不接受其他学校的报名，因为会影响该校。

英语专业四级考试于每年5月份举行。英语专业八级考试于每年3月份举行。
