Which is more important for a college student: Specialized knowledge or a wide range of

learning?

I’m presenting the idea that the specialized knowledge is more important for a college student. First, students who have specialized knowledge have intensive study in their major, which makes them more likely to succeed. Second, students with specialized knowledge are easier to find out the essence of a problem in their works, which can improve their operational capacity. Third, specialized knowledge enable them have a great advantage in the job hunting. According to a recent survey, professional knowledge in a work is more than 80%, especially in technological fields.

It’s well known that our world is developing rapidly，never can we ignore the fact that obtaining all sorts of knowledge on a wide range of subjects guarantees one’s job opportunities in such a competitive world. The wider range of knowledge you have, the more angles you can stand in to view the world, and surely the better prospective will have. Who suffers more from stress and strains in modern society:

Male or Female?

正一陈述：Good afternoon everybody! Our society develops so fast today, the stress and strains which cause people a lot of troubles have increased to a high level.

About the debate who suffers more from stress and strains, our standpoint is

that male suffers more than female. According to a report, the average age of

male is lower than female. What causes this phenomenon? Besides the

congenital conditions, the stress and strains male suffers is also the reason.

So we think that male bears more than female from all aspects.

反一陈述：We hold the opinion that woman suffer more stress and strain in modern society. We have three points to support our opinion. Firstly, nowadays,

though equality between women and men is prevailing, injustices still exist in

treating women in many aspects. Such as construction sector, some fields of

science and leadership field. So women have more difficulties in seeking their

ideal jobs because of the sex discrimination. Secondly, the public’s standard

of beauty to women is getting more and more rigorous(苛刻). Finally, don't

forget family abuse and sexual abuse. Females are 98% victims in those

sexual abuse. 98% females are victims in those cases. So women suffer

stress than men.
