someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”.

i don?t know who wrote these words, but i?ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

women who ate soy regularly as children have a lower risk of breast cancer, american researchers report. and men who eat fish several times a week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchers have told the american association for cancer research.

many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interfere with the

cyclooxygenase-2 or cox-2 enzyme. cox-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.

the study looked at sleep patterns of participants aged 35-55 at two points in their lives - 1985-88 and 1992-93 - and then tracked their mortality rates until 2004.
