英语学习背与诵的重要性 多年的英语教学实践活动使我深刻认识到，要学好英语就要两手抓，一手抓背诵识记基础知识，一手抓习题练习理解应用。两手都要抓，两手都要硬！但背诵是先决条件，只有背记与诵读紧密结合，反复练习，才能相得益彰，收效更好。因此培养学生快速准确持久的背诵英语知识的能力是我近来教学中着力探索的一个真命题。 我们先说说背记的问题吧。日常教学中常会发现那些记性好，背得好的学生学习英语得心应手，做起题来势如破竹；但那些记性差，背不下的学生就会混得很惨，听写很吃力。正所谓巧妇难为无米之炊，没有词汇的大米，拿来香醇可口的美餐？库存里没有单词.短语.句型.语法等的累积，习题模拟题拿什么来完成？当然背不能死记硬背，要引导学生善于找规律.寻窍门.编口诀，要背得快.牢.准。 一.巧记规律背单词 有些学生反复连读记单词，有些学生逐个拼读字母背单词，还有些学生通过同伴互查强化记忆，这些都因人而异有各自的效果。但我觉得课堂上借助归纳字母或字母组合的发音规律单词会记得更快更持久，课前预习课后复习都用得上，同时有助于培养学生的自学能力。单词中的辅音字母发音比较单一，一般怎么读就怎么写，可以忽略不计。主要是五个元音字幕及其组合的发音变来变去。我要求学生记住五个元音字母及其组合在开音节和闭音节中的发音规律，如a在开音节里中发/ei/本身音，闭音节中发/?/音，class中又发/ɑ:/ 音......不同字母组合又有规律性的发音，尤其老教材中每单元都有练习和教学，遗憾的是新教材放弃了这一授予“渔”而非“鱼”的编排。 巧背单词还要善于把同类用法的单词归纳起来编成口诀，大家很熟悉的o后加es家族口诀是：黑人英雄吃土豆西红柿。再比如动词的分词构成形式很多，容易记混，可以引导学生归类记忆：ought家族有bring.buy.think.fight......其实把更为特殊的aught家族记下会更有排他性：teach.catch等，ing家族里的tie.die.lie有分别是tying.dying.lying。 二.牢背短语靠理解 初中英语每一单元会有好多短语，需要学生积极思维，理清短语的结构与来龙去脉，了解他们的意义及其用法，再通过反复的课堂听.说.读.写加以运用从而了然于心。许多同义短语需要辨析对比记忆，简单如favorite与like best会常常出现在中考英语听力（听力材料中是前者，听力问题时一定会用like best) 阅读理解的考察中（文章利用like best,后面选项一般就换成含有favorite 的句子了）。我们经常强调由动词加副词组成的短语动词必须把相关的代词居中，但这些代词很多也是介词，学生难以判定介词.副词的区别，那我们就避重就轻把少数的特例记下来：get over it /look after it /hand it in ...另外，在构思作文时，应先罗列比较贴近文章内容的短语，进行优选，结合适当的时态.语法等构思出来的作文应该比随心所欲写出来的更有文采，更生动，中考也就更易得高分，真正做到学以致用。 三.熟背句型多练习 牢记一个句型，就像记住一个数学公式，只有举一反三拓展思维练习造更多的句子，注意人称.时态.词形的变化，反复雕琢不停碰撞矫正，并在做题过程中不断加深理解巩固强化，才会使句型深深刻在脑海中经久不忘。初中三年学生学到了海量的句型，宾语或宾语补足语是非谓语动词尤其是to do/doing的特别多，很多学生做题时往往记忆混淆而犹豫不决，鉴于doing形式的毕竟少一些可只记忆这一部分，编成口诀是： 喜欢想象禁不住(enjoy.imagine.can't help) ，允许推迟不练习(allow. delay.practice)...... to 可以是不定式符号，后面跟动词原形，也可以是介词，后面跟动词ing，九年级课本出现了几个以to 结尾的句型归纳起来就是:注意坚持习惯（pay
