4.The salutation 称呼

①Dear Sir (or Dear Madam for both single and married women) is used for addressing one person, and

②Dear Sirs or Gentlemen (or Mesdames) for addressing two or more, as where a letter is addressed to a firm.

③If the receiver is known to the writer personally, a warmer greeting “Dear Mr. Sb.” is then preferred.

④Salutation is usually typed two spaces below the inside address(封内地址)or the attention line(注意项下), and followed by a comma for “Dear Sir”, “Dear Sirs”, and a colon (冒号)for “ Gentlemen”. ( never write “Gentleman”) Dear Sir 和Dear Sirs 后面用逗号(,) Gentlemen后面用冒号(:)

一、缩行式(Indented style)

封内地址和其他需要分行的地方的后一行,都比前一行缩进二格或三格。

信的正文,每一段的开始一行都缩进若干格。

信头和封内地址每逢换行时,下一行要比上一行往右缩进2-3个字母的位置;日期放在信纸的右上端,签名放在中间偏右下方;每一段的第一行都从左边空白边缘往右缩进3-5个字母的位置。

每一行都是从左边开始取齐,成一垂直线

1. 写信时要处处从对方的角度去考虑有什么需求,而不是从自身出发,语气上更尊重对方。

2. 语言要有礼且谦虚,及时地回信也是礼貌的表现。

3. 意思表达明确,要注意:避免用词错误;注意词语所放的位置;注意句子的结构。

4. 避免废话连篇;避免不必要的重复;短句、单词的运用。

5. 避免含糊笼统,应该让读信人得到准确的信息。

6. 内容正确,语法正确,使用的商业术语、信的组织结构、标点符号、字母的大小写也要

外贸英语函电》实训教学大纲 《外贸英语函电与单证》实验课程教学大纲 课程编号: 适用专业:商务英语国际贸易 实验学时:32 学分:2 编制单位:应用语言系商务英语教研组 一、实训教学目标 通过实训,培养和造就大量从事国际贸易的人才,要求学生不仅需要掌握国际贸易的基本原理,基本知识和基本技能和方法,而且还应具有应变的能力,具有分析和解决实际业务问题的能力,才能胜任此项涉外工作。 通过该课程实训,应使学生具备如下技能: 1. 掌握英文商务信函的正确格式和组成部分; 2. 掌握建立业务关系信函书信特点、结构、关键用语及表达技巧; 3. 熟悉交易磋商程序;掌握询盘、发盘、还盘的基本策略和技巧;熟悉、了解进出口合同的格式、内容;掌握进出口合同条款制订及缮制方法; 4. 掌握关于支付方式的谈判技巧;掌握撰写信用证修改函; 5. 掌握装运指示和装运通知的写法;掌握写催装船信函; 6. 掌握有关保险险别、常用保险条款及保险金额、费率的表达方式;掌握撰写要求保险、介绍保险险别、通知买方保险等相关信函; 7. 掌握索赔和受理索赔的信的写法。

二、实训内容和要求 《外贸函电》实训部分分为:信函格式、建立业务关系、合同条款、交易磋商、执行合同、电子信函六个模块。目标: 实训模块一:信函格式 1. 实训要求:了解齐头式、缩进式及混合式的写法;能正确书写信头、日期和封内地址等;能正确书写信封。 2. 实训内容:通过具体信函,讲解信函格式。 3. 实训方式:格式练习。 实训模块二:建立业务关系 1. 实训要求:掌握介绍业务范围、经营方式的表达方法。 2. 实训内容:通过相关信函讲解建立业务关系的信函表达方式。 3. 实训方式:撰写信函,翻译句子。 实训模块三:合同条款 装运 1. 实训要求:掌握装运须知和装运通知的写法;掌握写信催装船;掌握买方提议分批装运的信的写法。 2. 实训内容:装运通知,装运须知,催证信。 3. 实训方式:中英文笔译、撰写信函。 保险 1. 实训要求:掌握要求买方自行保险;掌握要求超额保险;掌握通知买方保险;了解一些常用的保险条款。 2. 实训内容:基本险,一般附加险,特殊附加险,单独海损和共同海损。 3. 实训方式:中英文笔译、撰写信函。
