D ear Sir,

I'm writing to tell you something about our discussion on the topic “Whether

Middle School Students Can Carry Mobile phones (Cell phones)" at the class meeting.

Forty percent students agree, for they think it is convenient for them to

communicate with their relatives and friends. They also think they could surf the

Internet to search for some information and store some useful information in them.

Besides, they could play games to have a rest if they feel tired after a long time's

study.

However, sixty percent of us are against it. They said the radiation of cell

phones is harmful to health, and the ringing sound does somewhat affect the cell

phone holders and others. Also, cell phones are luxurious things for middle school

students and it is easy to lead them to compare with each other.

As far as I am concerned, I agree with the majority. It is not suitable for middle

school students to have cell phones. We can get in touch with others by other means

and we can read more books to enrich ourselves.

Should students make friends on line? People have different opinions on this. Some students say yes. They express their reasons as follows. Firstly, the Internet can help them make various frie nds. They have their own reasons. They say making friends on line is a waste of time, which should be spent more meaningfully

In my opinion, students should place their study, health and safety before other things. What I want to stress is that each of us should listen more to others. Studying Abroad

In recent years, studying abroad has been popular with Chinese high school students. Tens of thousands of them have gone to foreign countries to study. Many more are trying their best to go abroad. As for this, different people have different opinions.

There are many advantages in studying abroad. First, students who study abroad can make friends with people of different cultures. Second, they can learn much more advanced knowledge of science and technology from foreign countries. Still, they can improve their foreign languages more quickly.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. Most of the students are too young to live by themselves without any living experience. Moreover, being far away from their motherland, they may eel lonely and homesick./ miss their families. And further, the high cost is also a problem for common families .

In my opinion, it is advisable to take as many things into consideration .They can ask teachers or students who have studied abroad for advice and they should try to get everything ready before attending school abroad.

The topic of my speech today is “Cooperate with others”.

In our daily life and study, if we want to accomplish our work efficiently, we must all learn to cooperate with others. Cooperation can save us a lot of time and energy. Additionally, we can learn much from our partners by cooperating with them.

When we cooperate with someone we like, we will feel very happy. We can share our pleasure（joys）and sadness（sorrows）with him. But it challenges us to get along with others to cooperate with someone we dislike（hate）. Besides/Moreover/What’s more, we should focus on our work, instead of（rather than）our partners. With the College Entrance Examinations approaching day by day，some senior three students are moving out from their dorms and living in rented apartments near their

schools．

Most students think although school dorms bring them fun and friendship，the blackout rule to guarant ee students sleeping hours doesn’t leave them enough time to finish their homework．Worse still，the noise in the dorms not only influences their studies but also ruins their rest．To many parents, they’d like to provide a better environment for their children so that they can study more efficiently．Besides，they can take care of their children’s daily meals and laundry，so their children can eat better and have a comfortable life．

Most of the students are in favour of this decision，for they will have more time to study what they want，take part in activities，and build their characters．But some students are afraid of being forced to attend various remedial classes by their parents．
