With the rapid economic development of China,the current society attaches more important to English speaking ability of graduates,so more and more emphasis was placed on Ora English classes.It is a truth that you need to speak fluent English if you want to work in a company.However,this is not sufficient.Learning some skills of communication and work will make you have outstanding performance.
With the development of information and network technology,more and more WBL systems and websites for the English study are building.This term,I participated in the Workplace English through online learning.During the process of learning,I kept working hard every week:watch the video,fulfil every task and pass every exam.This course included four modules,which taught me many things in different aspects:
The title of the first module is "Welcome to the company".This module mainly teaches us how to ask and describe a company,understand and explain company structure,job duties and company operation.As one of the members of company,we must fully know about all aspects of it.This module introduced a company detailedly to students and help me to know and join a company quickly.
The second is "Get a taste of office life".This one mainly includes making a business appointment,managing company files,faxing a document,purchasing office supplies,working overtime,attending meetings and getting promoted.Work in a company,we may have to deal with many tasks every day.Therefore,we should learn some skills to improve our efficiency,and only in this way,can we save more personal time and don't need to work overtime.
Module 3,"Enjoy the business meals",includes making phone invitations,a reservation and a toast,paying the bill,reserving a table,ordering food,commenting on food and talking business over meals.It's inevitable that we may have many social engagements.From this module,we could respond to various situations easily and making the business meal be crowned with complete success.
Last but not least one,"Have a pleasant trip",we know that how to organize a schedule,book a ticket,check in at the airport and hotel,meet and see off clients,tour the factory.Making a good impression to clients is very important.This module taught me how to treat clients,and made them be our partner.
On the one hand,this course met the needs of most students who are about to graduate and enter the workplace.Learning online allows us to study at our own pace and improved our sdlf-monitoring.This course not only expanded the range of my knowledge,but also provided my ability to compete.I could know about a company information before I entered it.I was very satisfied with the way of organization and the contents of learning of Workplace English.But on the other hand,web-based learning process if lacks the correct instruction,can make the efficiency not to be high.Traditional learning system is established on the centralized model and cannot meet the need of flexible learning.I think it will be better if this course shares working experience and offers more opportunities to speak English.
Anyway,I will continue working hard and put theories I learned into practices.Only in this way can I be more confident with my career life in the future!
