男女孩子的图片,相关动作及运动的图片、太阳、月亮、星星的图片,镜子,手偶或娃娃玩具,奖励用的贴画及彩色纸。

如何导入教学?

教师进教室的时候,对学生说:“Hello, glad to meet you. I have a new friend. His name is Bill. Please say ‘Hello’ to Bill. Hello!”教师接着拿出其他的人物图片问学生,并让学生分别跟这些小朋友打招呼。特别是在使用句子“Hello, Panda Pandy! Hi! Monkey Muchy!”时,教师要加上一些音的节奏和变化,让学生感到这个名字很有趣,并喜欢说和模仿这样的名字。教师把基本的句子和表达方式告诉学生后,可让学生拿着自己的动物玩具对大家说:“Hello. This is my toy cat. His name is Ben(任意编). Hello, everyone!”学生边说边用拿着玩具的手向大家打招呼。全班同学也挥手说:“Hello, Ben.”接着,另一个学生到前面来进行同样的叙述。在大家活动半分钟左右,教师让大家回座位坐好,然后说:“Now listen carefully. I want Group One and Group Two to come to the front and stand in one line. I want another student from Group Three to come here and introduce your friends to the whole class.”教师叫一个学生到前面来,然后带着他/她一起说:“Hello, this is Zhang Hua. This is Li Ming. This is Wang Fang.”让这个学生依次介绍前面的同学。这一组被介绍完后,教师再让第四组和第五组的同学到前面来,并从第六组里找一个人来做介绍。这样,每个学生都能有大量的机会说英语,并知道这些句子的意思。

单元教学活动2 Listen, sing and answer.

这个活动有两个目的:一是学习或进一步熟悉人名;一是学会用“Who is he/she?”来问问题,并能回答该问题。操作时,教师可以先用这些孩子的图片依次向大家介绍,让大家熟悉每个名字的读音。然后,教师依次问学生“Who is he?”教师引导学生说出“He’s Bill.”。教师让学生两人一组进行问答练习。然后,根据时间检查两到三对同学。接下来大家可以一起唱歌曲。

歌曲内容如下:

Hello, Bill! Hello, Tom!

Hello, Nick and Sam!

Hello, Pat! Hello, Sue!

Hello, Kim and May!

教师可以把歌词写在黑板上。

单元教学活动3 Listen, chant and find out.

该教学活动是一个非常有意思而又富有挑战性的活动。教师开始时可以这样问学生:“Now we have some interesting words here. Who can tell us the first word? What does it mean?”教师询问大家,看看学生是否有人知道。然后,教师说:“I have a mirror. Look, What’s this? It’s a mirror. Without th is mirror, you can’t understand these words. If you have this mirror, you can understand them very easily. Who can come to the front and see the words in a mirror?”教师找一个学生到前面来,将通过镜子看到的第一个单词写在黑板上。教师要注意,由于镜子的反射,最后写在横线上的词应该是:

Bill, Tom, Nick, Kate, Sam, David and pam.

Kim, Sue, Paul, Ben, May, Pat and Mary.

教师可以一次叫一个同学上来写,写的时候就按顺序从左到右,而且不要等一个学生写完了再叫另一个同学。教师可以在第一个同学看完镜子之后,就叫第二个,直到最后一个词写完。然后教师让大家检查他们答得对不对,可以让学生将书的这一页举起来,朝着亮光的地方看,就能看到背面的词了。当大家都能找出答案时,教师再让学生听录音,并看着书一起说这些人名。在课堂上如果没有时间的话,教师也可以将此题留作家庭作业,下一次到课堂上再来对答案。

这是一个让学生清楚时间概念的练习。教材上的这幅图概念已经基本清楚,学生们能很快地掌握。教师如果想让教学效果更好,给学生印象更深刻的话,可以找一个硬纸板,通常是纸箱子的一面即可。教师在黑板上画几幅出来表示时间。该教学的目的和任务主要是让学生们熟悉早晨好、下午好、晚上好的时间表达以及a.m.和p.m.用法。通常来说,从凌晨开始到中午12点的时间都要用a.m.,而从中午到半夜12点前都要用p.m.。

单元教学活动5 Listen and mime.

这道题是用来复习前面所学的知识。教师首先让大家听录音。录音带上出现了一段早晨的音乐和一小段话。此时,教师停下录音,问学生:“What time is it? What would you say to your friend if you see them?”同学们回答完后,教师再给大家播放第二段录音。这是一段下午知了老在叫的声音,有些学生正游泳、嬉笑的声音及一段对话。教师问学生:“What time do you think it is? Yes, it’s afternoon. What would y ou say if you see your friend then?”接着,教师再给大家播放最后一段录音,里面有猫头鹰的叫声及非常静的夜晚。教师问学生:“What time is it now? What’s everybody doing? Why do you think so? (Because there is no sound at all. Everybody is sleeping.)”听完录音之后,教师对学生说:“Now I want you to use these three gree tings to greet your friends. Let’s see how you would answer them.”教师让学生下座位与其他同学一起练习这三个问候语。在练习说之前,老师可以给学生创设情境:morning, afternoon, evening.

单元教学活动6 Pairwork.

这道题的目的是让学生知道并掌握如何介绍自己的同学、老师或爸爸、妈妈。教师先找两个学习比较好的同学到前面来跟老师一起完成这个示范。通常来说,教师朝一个同学介绍说:

“Wang Fang, this is my friend, Li Ping.”王芳马上打招呼说:“Glad to meet you.”李平也接着说:“Glad to meet you.”教师做完示范以后再叫三个同学到前面来,做同样的介绍;但这一次教师让这三个同学每人都有一次介绍与被介绍的机会。全班同学看了之后,教师要将同学们分成三人一组进行小组练习。全班同学分三人一组练习之后,教师要抽查一组或两组的同学到前面进行展示,发现问题后要及时提醒一下同学们。

单元教学活动7 Look and find out who are on Monkey Munchy’s hand.

该教学活动是进一步复习英语人名和中国人名。教师可以让学生自己用笔在名字上圈一个圈,然后两个学生进行交流,看看相互之间还有没有忘记写的或没有注意到的名字。最后,教师可以组织全班一起来说这些名字。教师的课堂用语可以用下面的这段话:“Boys and girls. Let’s see the big hands of this Monkey Munchy. There are many children standing on the hands. Let’s find o ut who are on the hands. Please use your pen or pencil to circle the names first.”学生完成第一部分的内容后,教师说:“Now please compare your names with those of your friends and check whether you have left out some names.”两人之间核对一下。接着,教师说:“Now who can tell us the names and write them on the blackboard? One person, one name, OK? Who wants to be the first one?”教师让一个学生说出名字之后并把它写在黑板上。最后全班检查是否正确。出现的名字是:Nan Hua, Lin, Tom, Pat, Kim, May, Hao Xin, Sue, Li Li, Nick, Sam.如果学生不知道孩子们的中文名字,可以只让他们写出英文名字,可参照本单元的part2.

课后作业:

用汉语拼音的方式写出自己家里人的名字。写出已经学过的任意八个外国小孩的名字(四个男孩,四个女孩)。
