At some level, I always knew that I wanted to be a doctor— at least from the age of 8 or 10 years old, anyway.

Although my father wasn’t a doctor, he made his own brand of “house calls”. If you are planning your next holiday in Dubai(迪拜), you need to keep something in mind to avoid the effects of culture shock.

Dressing

Dubai follows its own set of cultural dress rules. You will find the local men are dressed in long, white, ankle-length robes called kanduras, while the women wear long, black, ankle-length robes called abayas.
