1.饮水机

说起饮水机，虫虫菌的第一反应是water machine，但很显然，“水”和“机器”加在一起并不是饮水机，它的正确表达是Water dispenser。

Dispenser 这个就是“分配的容器、机器”，《牛津字典》的注释是，a machine or container holding money, drinks, paper towels, etc. that you can obtain quickly。

2.量杯

量杯一开始虫虫菌觉得直接用measuring glass就好，其实量杯会用另外一词，那就是measuring jug/cup.

Jug, 是壶、罐，a container with a handle and a lip, for pouring liquids.

3.猫眼（道路上的夜间反光路标）

之前有客户给虫虫菌发了一个询价，产品名称是cats eye, 虫虫菌瞬间懵了。后面google, 找到了那个经常见，但又连中文名字都叫不出来的东西，就是马路上常见的“猫眼”。

英文解释是，one of a line of small objects that are fixed into a road and that reflect a car’s lights in order to guide the traffic.

回想一下你在路上开车时，看到漆黑的前方两者两个圆圆的光源，是不是觉得像是看到了一只猫呢？

4.洗手液

洗手液大家很常见，通常会叫做Hand sanitizer/wash，sanitizer 大家可能不熟悉，是指消毒杀菌剂。只要你记住它的动词sanitize , to remove the parts of sth that could be considered unpleasant 。

5.沐浴露

洗发水用于与怎么说大家都知道，但是沐浴露如果不了解，可能很容易懵。沐浴露是shower gel。

Gel，a thick substance like jelly, especially one used in products for hair or skin , 冻胶，尤指用于头发或护肤的产品。

6.床单和被罩

床单是bed sheet,这是虫虫菌来沙特第一天，同事陪我去买床上用品时学会的几个词之一。被单则是quilt cover。Quilt含义有被子，棉被；被状物；A quilt is a multi-layered textile, traditionally composed of three layers of fiber.

7.电吹风

Hair dryer, 大家在去国外旅游的时候，万一酒店没有吹风机，这个词就可以发挥作用啊。Dryer有干燥机、烘干机、干燥剂、干燥工等意思。同样的，clothes dryer 就是干衣机、衣服烘干机、烘干机啦。

8.台球桌

台球桌是billiard table，billiard就是台球的意思，a game for two people played with cues and three balls on a long table covered with green cloth.

9.羽毛球

羽毛球可能很多也是想不到会是哪个，所以虫虫菌也把羽毛球加进来了。羽毛球叫shuttlecock， A shuttlecock is a high-drag projectile used in the sport of badminton. 那么给大家介绍一下shuttle这词，主要有两个意思1）来往于两地的航班或班车，a plane, bus, or train that travels regularly between two places.

2)梭子a pointed tool used in making cloth to pull a thread backwards and forwards over the other threads that pass along the length of the cloth.

10.灯泡

Lamp, 其实灯泡有很多种类啦，现在大家见的更多都是LED等，以前用的灯泡就lamp.比如说台灯table lamp, 自行车灯bicycle lamp.
