1. How to Overcome Difficulties in My English Study
I have made a lot of improvements in English study. The following is my ways to overcome the difficulties.
I have difficulty in pronunciation. So every morning, I read a passage aloud for half an hour to try to pronounce every word correctly with a recorder. And then I will spend half an hour listening to English radio programs on VOA to improve my listening ability. Since I also have trouble in English grammar, I attend an English class to study grammar. The teacher who teaches English grammar recommended me to buy a grammar book—Concise English Grammar. It helps me a lot with my English study.
These are what I have done to overcome the difficulties in my English study.

我在英语学习上取得了很多进展。我克服困难的方法如下。

2. My English Study
I have made a lot of improvements in English study. The following is my ways to study English.

3. The Book I Like Best/My favorite book
提示：①简单介绍你最喜欢的书的书名和作者等基本信息；
②阐述喜欢这本书的原因；③总结。
The book I like best is a novel entitled “Dream of the Red Mansion” by Cao Xueqin. The book tells us a love story that happened between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu in Qing dynasty. When I read the book, I was deeply moved by the true love in the story.
From this book, I also get to know the noble people’s life in Qing Dynasty and learn some life philosophies from it. So this book is very valuable to me. It’s my favorite book.
3. 我最喜欢的书
我最喜欢的书书名叫《红楼梦》，它是曹雪芹写的。这本书讲述了发生在清朝的贾宝玉和林黛玉之间的爱情故事。我读到这本书的时候，被这个故事中的真爱深深地打动了。
从这本书中，我还了解了清朝贵族们的生活，也能学到不少生活哲理。所以，这本书对我来说是非常有价值的。它是我最喜欢的一本书。
4. My Favourite Food
My favorite food is egg. Firstly, it is soft, delicious and nutritious. It is good for the old, the young and the weak. Secondly, it is easy to cook. Even when I was in primary school, I Somehow got to know how to cook eggs for my parents, and they were moved a lot. Now I know how to make steamed eggs, boiled eggs, fried eggs and egg soup. Thirdly, we can use eggs to make cakes, noodles and other food. I like eggs very much.
4.我最喜欢的食物

9. My Hometown
My hometown is Shanghai. It is one of the economic and financial centers in China and even in the world Shanghai is a very large city. There are about 20 million citizens in Shanghai.
Shanghai is a modern city. We can see lots of high buildings in downtown areas and numerous cars on the streets. Shanghai is a beautiful city. We can see many buildings of different styles. We can see green trees and grass and all kinds of pretty flowers everywhere all year round. Though it is very hot in summer, I love my hometown Shanghai very much.
10. A Day to Remember
One hot summer day, my father and I went to the swimming pool. While my father was away, I slipped into the pool! The water kept coming towards me and I drank a lot. I tried very hard to keep my head above the water. I was so afraid that I shouted.
Just then, my father saw me and seemed to be shocked. He said, "Calm down, just move your arms and legs like that!" I did as he told me and finally learnt to swim!
From this experience I learnt that one's power is unlimited. And one has to stay calm when in danger. It is a day to remember.
11. How to Keep Healthy
To keep healthy, we should pay attention to the following points. First, we should have good diets. We must eat some meat, chicken or fish, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, enough rice, noodles and bread. We must not have too much fried food or soft drink. Second, we must keep away from crowds and usually wash our hands. Third, we should take an active part in sports. Last but not least, we can go out for a holiday to relax ourselves when we feel tired.
If you want to enjoy your life, please remember that the most important thing is to keep healthy.
12. Water and Life// Water Pollution
1. 随着工业化(industrialization)的推进，地球上的淡水(fresh water)越来越少。
2. 生命没水就要消亡(disappear)，因此人类要珍惜(treasure)淡水。
3. 我们如何节约用水。
With the progress of industrialization, the water on the earth has been seriously polluted. But many factories still keep pouring dirty water into rivers and lakes. As a result, fresh water is becoming increasingly scarce.
As we all know, fresh water is very significant to humans and all other living things. Life will disappear without water. Therefore, mankind should treasure fresh water.
The whole society should take some measures to save water. First, our government should develop industries that consume less water. Second, waste water must be recycled. Finally, everyone should do his bit to save water.
12．水与生活/水污染
随着工业化的推进，地球上的水被严重污染了。然而很多工厂仍然持续向河流和湖泊中排放污水，结果淡水越来越少。
众所周知，淡水对于人类和所有其它生物都是非常重要的。生命没水就要消亡，因此人类要珍惜淡水。
整个社会都应该采取措施节约用水。首先，政府应该发展用水较少的产业。第二，废水应该再循环使用。最后，我们每个人都应该为节水尽一份力。
13. Bad Manners in Public

Although we regard ourselves as highly advanced beings in a civilized society, bad manners
can still be found here and there. For example, some people run against red traffic lights; many passengers litter the ground with waste paper and plastic bags in the public places; and some tourists scrabble in tourist attractions, let alone spit on the street. In the cinema, some audiences talk loudly on cell phones in front of others.
I’m strongly against these bad manners, for these manners show no respect at all to others.

14. My Travel Plan
I plan to make a journey to Jiuzhaigou in Si Chuan province. I choose this place because i t’s
a nice place with fresh air, beautiful natural scenery like waterfall, lake and high mountains. It is a very famous place at home and abroad. Many films and TV series have been made here.
I plan to stay there for a week and travel with some friends. I will take a lot of pictures there and do a research on the local culture. I believe I will enjoy myself very much.

The advantages of cell phones are so obvious that people can hardly live without them. First, cell phones have made communication easier than ever. Second, cell phones can be used to store information, play games, listen to music and even take pictures.
However, cell phones have their disadvantages as well. First, cell phones are harmful to our health because they create radiation. Second, the use of cell phones will distract our attention when we are crossing a road or driving a car, which may cause traffic accidents.
Despite all these disadvantages, there is no denying that the cell phones have been an important part of our daily life.

My English teacher

The Spring Festival
The Spring Festival，Chinese New Year，is the most important festival for all of us. Before the festival coming, all the families will clean their house. Then the family members get together on New Year’s Eve to have a big meal and watch the spring festival party. At about 12 o'clock，some parents and children light crackers. The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly. How busy it is！
On the first early mooring of one year，many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door. Some house's windows are sticked on red paper cuttings.
The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days. And each day has its own food, such as dumplings, noodles, rice glue ball and so on. During the fifteen days，we always visit our relatives from door to door. At that time，children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents，grandparents，uncles，aunts and so on. The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival. It names the Lantern Festival.
So the Chinese New Year comes to the end.
Spring festival
Throughout the year, and we again welcome the new year.
About a few days before Chinese New Year, I have been busy at home, my mother and my grandmother at home and inside cleaning, preparing food. My grandfather took my brother playing on one side. I was doing my job!
By New Year's Eve day, my father back! Me and my brother are very excited! After dinner, my mother gave me and my brother no one a red envelope. Very happy New Year gift to the demolition.
The next day, I and my brother were wearing new clothes.

My spring festival
This year I have a happy spring festival with my family.
On New Year's Eve,all the family people get together to have a big dinner in the resturant.During the dinner we say some good hope to each other.For example,keep good healthe,try your best to do everything,have a good mood in this year,happy everyday and so on.
Thanks to this spring festival,it make our family people get toghther..We enjoy ourselves very much!
My New Year's plan
New Year's Day is comeing.My favourite day of a year is New Year's Day,becuse I can eat lots of nice hot food and have a holiday.
This year,I want to go to ----(地点自选),becuse, this are a lot of lates,I can fish,that is very warmth,I cannot feel cold ,and this are many street,I can shopping,so I think it is very comeliness,it is my wish.Now,I am really very excited.

My New Year's plan
The new year is coming!Now,it's the time to make plans for the new year.Here is what I will do:
1.I will get better grades.I'm good at English and Chinese, but I need to improve in my Math.I'll study better!
2.I will break my bad habits.I often get up very very late. To get early is good for my health. So I'll get up earlier than usual.
3.I will eat better.Ioften eat a lot of junk food. they are not good for my health.I should eat more fruits and vegetables.Theu will make my body healthier and stronger.
This year was a good year for me,but Ican make next year even better.I'll work hard to keep my resolutions
