One Speech Can Change Your Life 一篇演讲改变一生 Ladies and gentlemen, /thank you / very much for giving me / this wonderful opportunity / to talk about myself. / I consider it a great honor / to be invited / to speak here. 女士们先生们非常感谢你们能给我这个宝贵的机会谈谈我自己。我认为能被邀请到这里演讲是我最大的荣幸。 My name / is Wang Yang. My English / used to be very poor / and I felt terrible about myself! / I even considered myself / a total failure. I had no goals, / no dreams and no hope / for the future. 我的名字叫汪洋。 我以前的英语很差而且我非常自卑。我甚至把自己看成是一个彻底的失败者。我没有目标没有梦想没有对未来的希望。 When I studied / Crazy English, / I began to change. I started to realize that / my life had meaning. / I could control / my future / and influence other people. / I finally understood that / my destiny / was in my own hands. 当我学习疯狂英语的时候我的人生开始改变。我开始意识到我的生命是有意义的。我可以掌控我的未来并影响他人。我最终明白了我的命运就掌握在自己的手中。 I learned / that the purpose of life / is to accept challenges / and surpass my limits. / I also realized that I must / care about other / and live a life of service. / I can’t just / focus on myself. / I must try my best / to contribute to society. 我认识到生命的意义就是接受挑战超越极限。我也意识到我必须关心他人终生为他人服务。 Teacher Li Yang / is a great example / for me. Even though / his English is excellent, / he keeps on studying/ and practicing every day. He takes education / as his life/ and treats / every student / very kindly / and seriously. / He is / a great role model / for millions of / Chinese people. 李阳老师是一个了不起的榜样。虽然他的英语很出色 但他仍然坚持学习和操练。他把教育视为自己的生命他善待每一位学生。对于成千上万的中国人来说他是一个伟大的楷模。 I follow Teacher Li Yang / because I know that / if I work hard / and persist, / I will also succeed. / Over the past twenty years, / Li Yang / has touched / countless people’s lives. / He has changed / the face / of China’s English education / forever.
