SAT阅读你需要一个好的思维模式

SAT阅读是一个攻坚战,需要扎实的基础(如词汇量、阅读水平)做后盾,熟练的技能(如阅读技巧、解题方法)做武器,坚毅的意志(如抗压抗挫力,钻研精神)做支撑,不过能让以上这些有效合作获得高分的前提是一个正确的思维模式。那么文都国际小编带领大家如何将一个好的思维模式运用到SAT阅读中。

什么是SAT阅读的思维模式?

这个有点玄乎的概念,确实不好言传,或许可以这么说,最终在SAT Reading 上能取得高分的同学会有一种“开窍”了的感觉。那么这个“开窍”,其实也是一定时间的练习和思考后,经验不断累积,量变到质变的过程。有的人可能只需要5天,但有的人可能需要5个月。

怎样才能让这个“窍”可以开的再快一点?

有一些大量经验累积后,悟出的、总结提炼出的非常有用正确备考观念—Test-prep Wisdom, 上课时我会在一开始就分享给大家。当然,这些“别人的”经验在转化成有切身体会“自己的“东西前,可能只是一些抽象的大道理。不过,如果一开始就能知道这些重要的理论,建立一个正确的思维模式,再加上正确的指导,就能避免很多的弯路。日后,再回看当初的这些大道理,往往已内化成自己的“理所当然”。

如果大家已经对SAT有所了解,做了些题但遇到瓶颈,也希望看到这个清单时,会对大家有所帮助。

要明白,SAT是一个标准化考试,如果我们一直用同样方法应对它,只会一直得到一样的分数。

1. 尽可能停留在字面

在对细节的功能和意图做进一步推敲解读前,必须明确了解其字面的内容(包括单词和语法,这句子怎么写的,就是什么意思)—不然的话,推断的基础是错误的。做总结时,尽可能的使用文章的原话,简而言之,关心作者实际上在说什么,而不是其可能想说的话。

2. 关键是要高效地阅读

快速阅读实际上是结合特定技能的结果,好在这些技能可以通过培训来掌握

高效阅读意味着能熟练准确判别什么是重点,什么是不太重要的细节

如果有什么困扰,忽略它,专注于你所能读懂的东西!

3. 回答SAT阅读题目是一个过程(process)

在一开始就要培养细致规范的解题习惯,遵循答题的步骤,每个问题和选项都想透

如果想要一个高分,不能跳过步骤,开始猜测或随意回答- 否则会继续犯下足够的错误,伤害自己的分数。

4. 脑袋要灵活性

要获得非常高的分数,需要能够根据题目和选项快速调整自己的思路和解题策略

保持开放态,如果找不到所想的答案,请修改原本的思路,从头开始,而不是勉强选一个次好的答案。

5. 别着急

我们可能可以提前五分钟完成考试,但最后发现错了五题,提前做完的意义何在?

要获得一个很高的分数,需要仔细阅读,小心地处理每个问题,彻底思考

以这种方式工作是艰苦的,提起精神保持高水平的专注难度很高,但可以保证高分

一开始可能需要更长的时间,但是你平时越多地练习的这个解题过程,完整地通过解题步骤,你将变得越准确越自信,而所需的时间越短。

6. 以SAT的方式来思考——不是你的方式

考虑SAT会想要的答案是什么,而不是自己想要的。我们必须放下自己的自负,并以college board永远正确的心态来准备考试,那些我们认为的或者感觉的都不重要。偶尔,某些问题的逻辑不会很好。我们需要能够自己考虑选择,并且想想哪一个看起来最像是那个通常会正确的答案—它可能不是完美的,但是安全的。

7. 从文章去推答案,而不是把答案强加给文章

这个点我觉得只能用英文来表达最准确,我常说,如果你这个答案要扯扯扯才能说得通,放弃吧,肯定不对!试着去强行解释一个文章中没有直接明确证据的选项,那是一个圈套。

8. 不要被卡住

学生经常会遇到时间问题,这往往是两个原因造成的。其一是因为读不懂文章中的某一个部分(这部分有时被证明是无关紧要的),而后浪费了很多时间不断重读;二是被困在某个难题或者两个选项之间,坐在那里盯着他们,毫无头绪。

遇到读不懂的,或者难题是很正常的,关键是自己要对自己的实力和时间有足够的把握,判断这个难点重不重要,或者值不值得花时间,花多少时间

卡住了,先move on,把有限的时间花在做对你能力范围内的题目上

最后,也是最重要的:

我们应该这么想,SAT的每篇文章都有两位作者- 原作者和出题者- 即需要能够理解这篇文章,也要能理解这个考试,并从这两个角度重合的地方来思考问题。而高分获得者不仅能熟练转换自己的思维,而且能够结合使用精细阅读技能和测试技巧,并且他们能够根据需要使用这两种技能,以便快速识别最可能正确的答案选项,然后验证它们是否准确。

Under my desk I keep a large carton of cassette tapes. Though they have all been transcribed, I still like to listen to them from time to time, Some are quiet and easily understood. They are filled with the voices of American doctors, interrupted occasionally by the clink of a coffee cup or beep of a pager. The rest—more than half of them—are very noisy. They are filled with the voices of the Lees family, Hmong refugees from Laos who came to the United States in 1980.
