eating out? Is fast food popular in your country?

I do not often go out to eat. About twice a month or on special occasions. Sometimes, I would like to enjoy delicious food with my friends in restaurants. During the meal, we can talk about our hobbies or views and it can help promote our friendship. Fast food restaurants are especially common in my country. Maybe nowadays more and more people are getting much busier, so fast food is the best choice. However, most of the time, I prefer to eat in the school canteen. Resta urants’ food is always unhealthy, lack of nutrition. Eating out too much can even cause various diseases.

rely on cell phones too much?

Cell phones have become increasingly popular in China these days, especially among the young. There is no denying that the cell phone has brought great benefits to our life. With the cell phone, w e can connect others easily and quickly. We don’t have to wait for an important call at home all day long. With the cell phone, we can surf the Internet whenever and wherever we are. After a day of study or work, we can listen to music or watch movies by the phone to relax ourselves. However, some people rely on cell phones too much. When people spend too much time on the phones, they don't have enough chance to communicate with their friends or parents. In class, students focus on the cell phone instead of listening carefully. Therefore, we need to think more about how to use them appropriately to make convenience and reduce their negative impacts.

3.Talk about a holiday you have taken. How are people’s holidays different

from 20 years ago?

Last summer, I had a fantastic holiday with my parents in Qingdao. Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city. During the days we stayed there, the weather was cool and the air was fresh.Especilly the sky, it was bluer than that of my hometown. I like the Shilaoren bathing beach most, because its scenery is the most charming. We went swimming and enjoyed sunbathing. I picked up many shells on the beach. Compared with the holidays 20 years ago, people have more choices and more abudant activities today. Especially in recent years, tourism has become our preference.

4.Do you have a pet or pets? What are the advantages and disadvantages of

raising pets?

I have a cute dog. It is sometimes very naughty, sometimes very quiet. And it brings a lot of fun to my life. Nowadays, keeping pets nearly becomes a common habit of modern people. So, what are the advantages of keeping pets? A pet can be a good friend. When you are sad you can talk to it to release the unhappiness. With the company of pets, children can cultivate their feeling of love; adults can relieve their tension; and old people will not feel lonely anymore. If you keep a dog, you need to walk the dog quite often. This is a kind of exercise for you

to keep healthy and be relaxed. However, keeping pets also brings some troubles. First, you have to spend much energy to take care of them. Second, some pets have the potential danger of hurting people. Finally, you may be annoyed by their noise when you are working.

5.What job do you think is the best for you after you graduate? What is your

most important consideration when looking for a job?

I think the best job for me after graduation is to be a teacher. As a teacher, I can give

what I have learnt to my students, who will make contributions to our society. Thinking about it, I will be very proud of being a teacher. What’s more, I can share some new ideas with the young people, and by this way I will be young forever in my mind.. For many people, money or good promotion prospects may be their most important consideration when looking a job.

But as for me, what is important is to do something that I enjoy.

6.Talk about one of your friends. What are the most important qualities in

friends?

Lucy is my best friend. She studies hard and always gets good results. Before, I had great difficulty in learning math. She made every effort to improve my math and she was quite patient to teach me. I have always appreciated her help. As the old saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. A good friend should be willing to help you when you are in trouble, comfort you when you are frustrated. Furthermore, good friends should also be honest people, who can open heart to others and never refuse to acknowledge their shortcomings.

7.What role does music play in our life? Do you think that children should

learn to play musical instruments?

I often listen to music in my leisure time in order to loosen up. I think listening to music is an effective way to calm folks down.

Music can comfort me when I am in low spirit; music can cheer me up when I need some excitem ent; music can give me energy when I am passive or negative; music can make me relaxed from st ressful study or work. Since learning music is an elegant form of entertainment for children, they are supposed to learn to play musical instruments if they are interested in it.

8.Which types of transport do you think are better for short journeys and

which are better for long ones? In what ways do modern transportation methods make our lives easier?

For short journeys, I recommend taking the subway or riding a bike. Subway is more faster and comfortable than buses meanwhile it is much cheaper than taxis. If you are going to the suburbs, riding a bike is the best choice. Because you can enjoy the beauty of the nature along the way, and it is also good for health. For long journeys, to save money I would rather take the train. Off course, if you have enough money, why not travel by plane? It takes less time, so you will have more time for sight seeing. There is no doubt that modern transportation methods have brought great significance to our lives. For example, we can conveniently shuttle between different cities.

9.Do you think that young people spend too much time studying, watching TV,

and playing on computers rather than getting exercise and playing sports,

and how do you think about it? How can playing sports help us in other aspects of our lives?

It has become a more and more serious problem. Teenagers nowadays have much more homework than before. And they have much less outdoor activities. Many of them addict to computer games. In my opinion, we must pay attention to this issue and settle it. Playing spors is good for both our body and mind. It can keep our body healthy and young. It can also relax when we feel stressed. Most sports involve teamwork and teach us how to get along with others, how to work together to achieve a common goal, and about trust and responsibility. So no matter how busy you are,never stop playing sports.

10.Which one do you prefer, the fast paced life or the slow one? Why?

With the rapid development of the economy, our society is becoming more and more fast. In the fierce competitive environment, people are under a lot of pressure everyday. They hurry to work, hurry to think. Fast paced life seems to have become a remarkable symbol of young people. As far as I’m concerned, we need both fast and slow paced life. To improve our living standard, we have to work hard to adapt to the society which is developing with high speed. However, sometimes when we feel tired, we’d better have a vacation to relax and release our pressure.
