In 1896, the first modem Olympic Games was held in Athens, Greece. Since then many countries have successfully held the Olympics, such as England, France, Germany, Canada, the USA, Spain and Australia. After more than a century the Games returns to its hometown this year.
When people hold the Olympic Games, they always make an emblem (会徽). The emblem of the Athens Olympic Games this year is a white circle of olive branches in the sky.

Mrs. Baker's sister was ill. She had someone to look after her from Monday to Friday, but not at the weekend. What is the very small animal that has eight legs, eats small insects, and sometimes bits people? It is the spider.
Spiders are not insects. They are arachnids(蜘蛛网动物). Insects have three pairs of legs and three body parts. Arachnids have four pairs of legs but only two body parts. Spiders have two to four pairs of eyes. They can see extremely well.
When a spider bits an insect, it does not kill the insect immediately. Instead, a special poison passes through its fangs, and this poison paralyzes(使麻醉) the body of the unlucky insects.

There are some traditions(传统) in Hawaii. People are very friendly and always welcome visitors. They give visitors a long necklace of beautiful fresh flowers.
