Everyone agreed that it was the best and biggest work of amber art ever made. In fact, the room was not made to be a gift. It was made for the palace of Frederick I. However, the next king of Prussia decided not to k__ it. In 1716, Frederick William I gave it to Peter the Great, as a gift of friendship from the Prussian to the Russian people.
