在考研英语文章中,会出现状语从句的省略,原因就是命题人想要把考研英语文章的句子变难,使其难度加大。因为判断状语从句的类型可以通过连接词来判断,如果把连接词省略的话,就需要同学们理解句子前后的联系,进一步判断里面的逻辑关系,才能真正的理解句子的含义。状语从句的省略形式分为两种情况。

第一种,当状语从句的主语和主句的主语一致时,会出现状语从句的省略。省略的方式是:连接词(可保留)+动词形式的变化(动词的现在分词或动词的过去分词)。这里需要同学们注意当从句的主语与谓语是主动关系时,动词形式为现在分词;当从句的主语与谓语是被动关系时,动词形式为过去分词。这种省略的形式称之为分词作状语,可以位于句首、句中或句末。

第二种,当从句的主语和主句的主语不一致时,同样会出现状语从句的省略。省略的形式是:名词/代词(主格)+动词形式的变化(现在分词、过去分词、to do不定式、介词短语、形容词短语、副词)。这种省略形式称之为独立主格结构,可以位于句首、句中或句末。
