University As I See It

Having experienced the college entrance examination, I came to the V ocational College of Zheng Zhou to start my meaningful college life. I am very honored that I can spend such a wonderful college life in this place.

I have come to realize that my university opportunity will play an important role in my life. I have faith in my heart that this three years of college life will be unforgettable and my experience will be unique and purposeful.

First, I think college life is like a sea full of knowledge, and I am like a surfer, swimming in this knowledge sea. University can equip us with academic knowledge, professional skills and interpersonal relationships. British philosopher Francis Bacon once said:" Knowledge is power". We will learn new language, new types of music, new ways to dress ourselves and behave well. It’s precious wealth in our lives. College is the holy palace of tens of thousands of books. They stay on the book shelves waiting for your touch. I want to touch them.

Secondly, University makes our life more colorful and can offer us a better environment in these developmental years. We will get more freedom when we leave our parents to start college life. I will complete the most splendid and important changes in my life while I am in college. In fact, we can learn a lot of things in the university. We will meet many different people from different backgrounds. In this big group, you are no longer the apple in your family and have to learn communication skills to make friends. We can make good friends with teachers and classmates who can help us develop and improve. My university has a quiet library, cool pavilion and beautiful fountains. Different kinds of clubs can entertain us and broaden our horizons; debating club, basketball club, dancing club and others, provide us with better options to spend our spare time. We can make good use of our spare time to fulfill ourselves.

Thirdly, life at university prepares us for entering into society. There is something we can not learn from books but can only learn from the college experience. She can teach us what society can not. People say that university is half the society, offering us an opportunity to gain practical skills, know about society and get social practice. In the university, we get to know ourselves better to be closer to the truth and are no longer easily proud, we gradually become mature. In the university, we will not just follow others, rather, we have the ability to think independently, tell right from wrong, and make our own decisions.

All in all, the university as I see, it will help us make our life organized and coordinated. It adds to our high school knowledge which makes us become more effective individual. Everyone has a sky in their eyes; everyone has a world in their mind; everyone has a dream in their heart, and the campus is just like an old man recording our dreams & youth year after year. We can take advantage of opportunities for dream & happiness that have presented themselves or watch them disappear. Will you let your dreams die or take hold of the opportunities here in college?
