剑7 Test 3 Writing Task 1
The chart provides information concerning changes in average house prices in five different cities between 1990 and 2002 compared with the average house prices in 1989.
From the chart, in the period from 1990 to 1995, we can easily find that the average house prices in three cities decreased sharply, with 5 percent in New Y ork (USA) and 7.5 percent both in Tokyo (Japan) and London (UK). In contrast, in the other two cities, Madrid (Spain) and Frankfurt (Germany), the average house prices increased smoothly with about 1.5 percent and 2 percent respectively.
As far as the period between 1996 and 2002 is concerned, it is obvious that the average house prices compared the prices in 1989 decreased only in one city, with 2 percent in Tokyo (Japan). And the average house prices in the rest of four cities were all increased, especially in London (UK), which got a boom with almost 12 percent. In New Y ork (USA) and Madrid (Spain), the average house prices increased dramatically with 5 percent and 4 percent respectively. And it climbed slightly about 2 percent in Frankfurt (Germany).
Overall, the average house prices in five cities between 1990 and 2002 compared with the average house prices in 1989 changed differently.
