Compatibility Info

IAF 8.1 continues to support previous ERP releases, but is the minimum required

version for Ross ERP 6.4.

? IAF 8.1 continues to support Thin Client, iBrowser, and Smart Client, but Smart Client is required for Ross ERP 6.4.x.

Ross BPM 6.3, SCP 6.3 integration, and ERP 6.3 Trace Express require downloads for

compatibility, when upgrading to IAF 8.1. ?

Smart Client 3.2 requires a minimum version of Ross ERP 6.2.3.

DB Restrictions

Starting with IAF 8.1 SP4, support is provided for Oracle 11g R2.

Starting with IAF 8.1 SP7, support is provided for SQL Server 2008 R2.

Ross ERP – Trace Express Viewer

Trace Express Viewer offers a new user experience for Lot Trace Inquiries providing summary and detailed graphic viewing options for the entire Lot Trace, along with

extensive Search & Grid capabilities to review the associated transaction data.

Trace Express Viewer is available at no extra charge to all existing Ross customers

running a minimum of IAF 8.0 SP19 with Smart Client and Ross ERP 6.3 SP5.

Trace Express with Ross ERP previous releases (5.9.3, 6.2.2, 6.2.3, and 6.3x) is also possible via our Professional Services Group.

Ross ERP – Ross Reporting Services Reports

RRS reports offer a new user experience for reporting on ERP data and transactions, providing summary tables with drill-down capabilities and detailed graphic views

that are easy to export to Excel and various other formats for further processing.

RRS reports are available:

? For all ERP areas, each new Service Pack providing a set of new reports.

? At no extra charge to all existing Ross customers running a minimum of IAF 8.1

SP7 with Smart Client and Ross ERP 6.4 SP2. Customers need to have a minimum server instance of Microsoft SQL 2008

Ross ERP 6.4 – IAF 8.1

Ross ERP 6.4 (and all

following ERP Releases) is the first ERP release

available for “Smart Client only ”.

IAF releases will continue to support Thin Client,

iBrowser, and Smart Client for all ERP releases prior to 6.4.

It is possible to run IAF 8.1 with previous ERP releases without using Smart Client and using Thin Client or iBrowser instead – but

Smart Client 3.2 is required to upgrade to ERP 6.4. We strongly recommend using Smart Client with all Ross ERP versions to avail the UI and performance benefits of Smart Client. Smart Client is our

standard UI option since ERP version 6.2.3. For

customers who are using earlier ERP versions, Services may need to make a few necessary program changes to support Smart Client.
