浅谈英语演讲对外语能力培养的重要性

【摘要】随着我国改革开放的不断加深，全球化经济和信息化时代的到来，我国与世界其他各国交流接触越来越频繁，英语逐渐成为世界上的通用语言。因此，英语的教学水平对我国经济发展和构建社会主义和谐社会发挥着特殊的作用。21世纪是一个科技竞争、信息竞争和资源竞争的时代，归根结底是人才的竞争，尤其是英语能力强人才竞争。因此，提高学生的英语能力是素质教育制度一重要的目标。

【关键词】英语演讲；外语能力；重要性

英语能力的高低是英语教师和学生共同面对的问题，其能力的培养存在一定的难度。然而在我国高校英语的教学模式还是延用传统的说教式教学方法，对学生英语能力的提高带来极大的阻碍作用。对于我国大学生英语能力的提高可谓是迫在眉睫，将英语演讲融入到大学英语的教学环节中，在培养学生的英语能力和听说能力具有积极的作用。本文主要从我国高校英语教学现状分析、英语即兴演讲的意义以及英语演讲对外语能力培养的重要性三个方面来对英语演讲对外语能力培养的重要性进行了分析。

1.我国高校英语教学现状分析

1.1学生英语基础普遍偏弱

随着高校录取分数不断降低，学生的生源与质量也随之下降。根据调查显示：高校学生有60%人的英语基础相当薄弱，在学习英语时非常困难，更有甚者已经对英语彻底失去了信心，将英语课作为他们的睡觉课；另有30%的学生英语基础还可以，但是其缺乏学习英语的兴趣；只有10%的学生英语基础相对较好，由于受到传统英语教学模式的影响，缺乏良好的学习习惯和学习方法，只是去死记硬背一些单词和语法，忽视了培养学生口语交流能力。

1.2学生忽视学习英语的重要性

在学生的思想认识中，有这样一种错误认识：他们的任务就是学习一些专业知识和提高自己的动手操作能力，而英语在以后的工作中并不重要，因此，没有必要学习。学生们带着这样一种错误的认识去学习英语时，对英语的热情和积极性并不强烈，进而导致学生的英语水平普遍偏低。

1.3传统教学模式导致学生失去了学习兴趣

在传统的英语教学模式中，教学手段和方法过于单一，这是出现学生厌烦学习英语的重要原因之一。在英语教学过程中，还是延用传统的“说教式”教学模式，即老师在讲台上讲，学生在下面听，在课堂上老师与学生交流的机会甚少，老师不能及时的掌握学生的听课情况，学生在听课时出现的一些疑问也不能与老师交
