You may be aware that in 2003, the European Union (EU) issued Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical & electronic equipment (‘RoHS’ Directive). K ingsbright Technology (shenzhen)co..,LTD is moving forward to ensure compliance with this

‘RoHS’ directives.

The main requirement of the RoHS Directive is that from 01st July,2006 a producer shall not put electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) as defined there in containing lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls(PBB), or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), in amounts exceeding the following set maximum concentration values, on the market in the EU.

The above restrictions apply separately to each of the homogeneous material in the part. ‘Homogenous material’ is defined as “a material that cannot be mechanically disjointed into different materials” and can be understood as “of uniform composition throughout.”

Letter of Intent

We are requiring our suppliers/sub-contractors to certify that all parts and materials that they deliver to Kingsbright Technology (Shenzhen)Co..,Ltd are in compliance with the RoHS directive. In short, we request you to provide a letter of intent to Kingsbright Technology (Shenzhen)Co..,Ltd by 15th December, 2005 addressing the following:

1) Will you be RoHS Directive complaint by 01st January,2006? Yes/No

2) Do you have an execution plan for RoHS Directive compliance? Yes/No

3) Can you provide a Product Road Map demonstrating path for meeting RoHS Directive requirements (i.e. Product Life Cycle, End of life projections for non-RoHS Directive compliant products, introduction of new RoHS Directive compliant products)? Yes/No

4) Can you provide report targeted to RoHS Directive request? Yes/No

5) Were all the items/services you provided in compliance with RoHS Directive requirement? Yes/No

RoHS Material Declaration Form

We request you to review the composition of parts or material sold to Kingsbright Technology (Shenzhen)co..,Ltd and classify each item as RoHS Directive compliant or non-compliant. Please also provide this information by submitting a RoHS Material Declaration Form confirming that the material, part, components or assemblies that you provide do not contain unacceptable levels of any of hazardous substance shown above. For components which contain the restricted substances beyond the maximum concentration values, please inform Kingsbright Technology (Shenzhen)co..,Ltd of your intentions to make necessary changes to procure the RoHS Directive compliance. If you determine that a part cannot be made RoHS compliant, please alert Kingsbright Technology (Shenzhen)co..,Ltd immediately.
