INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS SHOCK\V Injury,Inflammation,and Sepsis:Labora-tory and Clinical Approaches Online Submission and Review System Scope The mission of SHOCK\is to foster and promote multidisciplinary studies,both experimental and clinical in nature,that critically examine the etiology,mechanisms,and novel therapeutics of shock-related patho-physiological conditions.The journal will consider papers in the areas of basic and clinical studies of shock,trauma,sepsis,inflammation,isch-emia,and related pathobiological states,with particular emphasis on the biologic mechanisms that determine the response to such injury. Ethical/Legal Considerations A submitted manuscript must be an original contribution not previously published(except as an abstract or a preliminary report),must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere,and,if accepted,must not be published elsewhere in similar form,in any language,without the consent of Lippincott Williams&Wilkins.Each person listed as an author is expected to have participated in the study to a significant extent.
