Millions of Americans are entering their 60s and are more concerned than ever about retirement.

动词:assume, disagree, illustrating, observe, spoiling, underestimate

A 段落主旨,全文主旨;

3,细节定位,答主旨,态度题;

4,若文章是提出,分析问题,则主旨是把问题罗列上去。97.1.,25题;

95.1.,23题;95.6.,23题;

I did not have a roll on my plate, but I do not like bread very much anyway。

One night Mrs Rochester succeeded in setting the house on fire. Mr Rochester managed to lead the servants to safety and then went back into the burning mansion to rescue his wife。

We are glad that we live near the ocean because we love to eat flounder。

She read my letter slowly to the end and then tore it to shreds。

We like our new house because it has a few elms in the back yard that will give us shade and keep the house cooler。

Fishes live in water and have fins which help them to swim。

She can’t play tennis now because she can’t find her white sneakers。

The lack of movement caused the muscles to weaken. Sometimes the weakness was permanent. So the player could never play the sport again。

She is usually prompt for all her classes, but today she arrived in the middle of her first class。

The pain on the cottage had peeled in a few places, otherwise they looked well kept。

Ann is very smart. She always knows the answers to all the teachers’questions。

Capacitance, or the ability to store electric charge, is one of the most common characteristics of electronic circuits。

After Ms Ellis put the letters in the envelope, she sealed it and put a stamp on it。

After we had travelled for about twenty miles, there was still no sign of the town which was marked on the map. We were beginning to get worried. Then, without warning, the car stopped. A quick examination showed that we had run out of petrol. Although we had little food with us, only a few biscuits and some chocolate, we decided to spend the night in the car。

下边的biscuit是生词,但这一句的前半句提到了we had little food with us, biscuit和chocolate都是进一步补充说明是什么样的food,由此可见,这两样东西是“食品”。

转折典型词汇:如but,however,nevertheless,while,in fact等等。

对比典型词汇:如compared to,unlike,instead,in contract to等等。

As a result;since,due to;because of;

Specially,especially,indeed,certainly,only,certainly

Which is,thus,that is,which means

For example,for instance,such as,illustrate

As a result,in short,in a word, in conclusion,all in all,in brief

Conversation One M: Guess what? The worst food I've ever had was in France. W: Really? That's odd. I thought the French were all good cooks. M:Yes. That's right. I suppose it's really like anywhere else, though. You know, some places are good. Some bad. But it's really all our own fault. W: What do you mean? M: Well, it was the first time I'd been to France. This was years ago when I was at school. I went there with my parents' friends, from my father's school. They'd hired a coach to take them to Switzerland. W: A school trip? M: Right. Most of them had never been abroad before. We'd crossed the English Channel at night, and we set off through France, and breakfast time arrived, and the coach driver had arranged for us to stop at this little café. Th ere we all were, tired and hungry, and then we made the great discovery. W: What was that? M: Bacon and eggs. W: Fantastic! The real English breakfast. M: Yes. Anyway, we didn't know any better— so we had it, and ugh...! W: What was it like? Disgusting? M: Oh, it was incredible! They just got a bowl and put some fat in it. And then they put some bacon in the fat, broke an egg over the top and put the whole lot in the oven for about ten minutes. W: In the oven! You're joking. You can't cook bacon and eggs in the oven! M:Well. They must have done it that way. It was hot, but it wasn't cooked. There was just this egg floating about in gallons of fat and raw bacon. W: Did you actually eat it? M: No! Nobody did. They all wanted to turn round and go home. You know, back to teabags and fish and chips. You can't blame them really. Anyway, the next night we were all given another foreign speciality. W: What was that? M: Snails. That really finished them off. Lovely holiday that was! Questions 1 to 4 are based on the conversation you have just heard. Question 1. What did the woman think of the French? Question 2. Who did the man travel with on his first trip to Switzerland? Question 3. What does the man say about the breakfast at the little French café?

2016年6月英语六级真题听力原文(一) Part ⅡListening Comprehension Section A Questions 1 to 4 are based on the conversation you have just heard. M: (1)So, how long have you been a market research consultant? W: Well, I started straight after finishing university. M: Did you study market research? W: Yeah, and it really helped me to get into the industry, but I have to say that it’s more important to get experience in different types of market research to find out exactly what you’re interested in. M: So what are you interested in? W: (2)Well, at the moment, I specialize in quantitative advertising research, which means that I do two types of projects. (3)Trackers, which are ongoing projects that look at trends or customer satisfaction over a long period of time. The only problem with trackers is that it takes up a lot of your time. But you do build up a good relationship with the client. I also do a couple of ad hoc jobs which are much shorter projects. M: What exactly do you mean by ad hoc jobs? W: It’s basically when com panies need quick answers to their questions about their consumers’ habits. They just ask for one questionnaire to be sent out for example, so the time you spend on an ad hoc project tends to be fairly short.
