Task:Provide students with the ability to ask what others would like and to buy available items

Background Study and Material Analysis:

The Grade Four students have learnt several words within the topic of food, and they can successfully form sentences about the food they do or don’t like.

The learning activities will assist them to ask and answer questions about the food they want in a polite way by using the sentence structure: “What would you like?”and “I’d like some…”

Objectives: To introduce and apply the sentence structure, “What would you like?” in order to ask for information about food others want.

To enable students to use “I’d like some…” to tell others the food they

want.

To guide students to know food some animals usually eat.

Key points: What would you like?

I’d like some…

Difficult points: To pronounce ‘I’d’ correctly.

To know that I’d is equal to I would.

Teaching aids: cards, paper puppets, worksheet, and multi-media
