Stick parenting

It is said that,” Spare the rod, spoil the child ”. And we often hear about the experiences of the successors, who says that,” My success should be owning to my parents’ strict instruction”. Many parents think that the children will make more progress if they follow the pastors’ideas.In most instances, some of parents will use stick parenting to punish delinquent children or force them to do something the children are not fond of. But despite a few successful cases, stick parenting is bad for most kids.

First of all, stick parenting may cause tension of families, which is bad for the children’s growth. The children just want to finish routine homework or play with partners in a rather safer space because they are afraid to do anything their parents don’t like. It’s bad for developing creativity of children. And the children don’t expect to exchange happiness and sadness in their studying life. To some extent, they can’t get advises from those closest to them. This kind of kids may make detours in their learning and living. However, if they try to ask the suggestions of their parents , many of the detours are avoidable.

Secondly , the children under stick parenting aren’t as bright as others. They are used to being care about their behaviors. At the same time, they aren’t likely to talk and play with friends of school unscrupulously. Anything happened, will they consider that whether their parents agree

with it. In other words, they are afraid of making decisions of themselves gradually. Besides these, they maybe not have enough courage to express their own ideas in the class. Briefly , most of these children are not as confident as other classmates.

Worst of all, the children under stick parenting may cheat their dad and mum in order to escape punishment. For instance, sometimes the child gets a low grade. However , his teacher asks that he must modify the test paper, and sends to his parent to have a check . Then he may forge signature in case his parents find the awful grade.

Granted stick parenting can better control children’s growth, as giving some punishment will make sure the children own up to the mistakes and make a correction. However , it has more disadvantages and causes more trauma.

Individually, stick parenting isn’t suitable for children’cultivation. It is bad for children’ health, especially their mental health. So, please give up it, and use some other ways to communicate with kids.
