海南大学外国语学院 数字化多媒体外语综合实验室 一、基本情况 数字化多媒体外语综合实验室，是外国语学院于2004年开始筹办、2005年经学校批准设立的文科类教学实验室。实验室建筑面积为75m2，设计机位48座。预算投资44万。可跟现有的机房、语音室联成一个整体，形成一个多层面、多层次的外语教学平台。实验室可进行同声传翻、外语影视配音、听说对比、分组分对互译等实验练习。 实验室的核心设备为数字化多媒体网络语言学习系统。该系统主要由以下三部分组成1、核心硬件控制部分：教师主控终端、教学媒体控制单元、学生端内置高效语音卡。2、配套部分：网络交换设备/网络连接线缆、标准计算机、标准外部媒体设备（DVD/录像机/录音机/展台等）。3、核心软件控制部分：教师控制软件系统、学生终端软件系统、服务器软件包、管理软件包。该系统外语教学功能强大，涵盖了语言学习系统的一切主流功能，同时应用在网络机房的架构下，充分整合了专业语音室和多媒体计算机实验室的优势，从而贯彻了外语教学大纲要求的网络互动式学习要求，为老师提供丰富多样的实验教学环境，使学生能充分利用交互式多媒体资源学习，使外语教与学方式得到完善和补充。 数字化多媒体外语综合实验室是为我校的外语教学与研究提供最佳支撑，以提升全校外语教学以及专业外语教学的质量而设立的。实验室建设初期就按开放性模式建设，从而使实验室能更有效地为众多的学生和老师服务，为教学与科研创建一个比较合理、具有良好操作性的开放性实验室。 实验室有专职人员3人，实验室主任为冯军副教授。 二、开展教学工作情况 实验室为英语专业开设的课程有英语语音、高级听力、电影文化、英语口译、英译汉、网络信息、英语视听、高级英语、汉译英、科技英语、金融英语等。以英语视听说为例：本课程通过实验室大量教学视听资料，使学生适应不同语境要求。在看懂、听懂的基础上，在实验室进行语音模仿，句型操练，情景对话等综合训练，培养学生良好的英语口头交际能力。要求学生通过观看英语新闻片、原版片、电视节目和网上直播之后，能根据情节和内容开展有针对性的口语训练叙述中心大意、并能运用所学的有关用语和专用词汇进行专题讨论，或即席演讲，以加深他们对英语国家的政治、经济社会、文化等方面的认识和了解，达到发音正确，语调自然，语流顺畅。 在教学中鼓励教师使用主流媒体开发的知识管理平台或教学工具软件。教师可以根椐教学需要，利用这些工具自行编写教学课程，更加有效地促进教师教学的创新，更大程度上实现个性化教育。利用网络优势尝试一些新的教学方法，例如，使用电子邮件培养学生的写作能力、网络视听课程的教学、网络合作学习等。 三、特色和优势 随着教育技术手段的发展，传统的“粉笔＋黑板”的教学模式越来越不能满足发展的需要。教育的根本出路在于改革，而教育改革的重要途径之一是教育信息化。网络和多媒体辅助教学是教育信息化的主要应用方式。网络和多媒体教学技术一改传统的单向传导为“教师─多媒体─学生”的相互作用的教学结构模式，具有高度的交互性和动态开放性，带来了教学模式的变革与教学组织形式的多样化。学生由被动变为主动探索，教师由训导者变为启发者和助学者。这些变化对学习者主体意识、参与意识、探索学习意识培养提供了有效的支持。
