Hello, everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is a story or a poemtaken from Lesson 19 of Unit 3. It is

made up of four parts

Part 1 My understanding of this lesson

The analysis of the teaching material:

This is thefirst lesson of Unit3.It is a very important part in this unit..Lesson 19 is a dialogue,.And Unit3 is about the poems.They are connected.

By studying Lesson19,the students can improve their listening,speaking,reading and writing abilities.At the same time, make them understand storys and poems are interesting for people.

Teaching aims:

1. Knowledge aim: Understand the main idea of this lesson.

2. Ability aim: Retell the text in their own words.

3. Emotional aim: Make the Ss write a poem or a story

Key points / Teaching important points: The important points : New words and phrases

The difficult points : the differences between poems and storys

Something about the Ss:

1. The Ss have known something about poems through the Internet and other ways.

2. They are lack of vocabulary.

3. They don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others.

4. Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. Teaching method: I will use ----Double activities teaching method ,Question-and-answer activity teaching method,

Watch-and-listen activity ,Free discussion method ,Pair work or individual work method.

Part 2. Teaching steps / procedures

I have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading ability.

Step1 :Lead in Ask some questions about Lesson19.say “Do you know a poem or a story? Do you want to write a poem? Let’s look at the text ,How to

find the differences between stories and poems.

Step2: Show the new words to the students.

Show them some pictures and let them talk each other, and then use the

pictures to learn new words, for example, rhyme, passage fat and so on. Purpose: Arouse the students’ interest of study.

Step3: Listening: Ask them to close their books and listen to the tape. I’ll give them two questions. listen to the first part and answer the first question

and then the second.。

Purpose :Train the Ss’ listening ability

Step 4. Fast reading

Read the passage as quickly as they can. I show the questions on

the screen and let them get the main idea of this lesson. Purpose: Improve the students’ reading ability.

Step5: Act out: Ask two groups to come to the blackboard and act out the dialogue, if they do well,we can go on next step , If they can’t , I will give

them two minutes to recite the dialodge.

Purpose: I want to know if my students understand the whole text really.

Step6: discussing D o you have a favorite poem or story? Help them if they need at any time. In the discussing, remind the students to speak English. Show words that they don’t know on the blackboard. walk around the classroom and give them help if necessary.

Purpose: This part make the students understand the poems and stories are different. Step7: Do some exercise.

Stand up. 等一些简略的指示语,要求学生听懂并依照指令做出相应的动作,同时鼓舞学生滚动已学指令,如:sit down,touch the ground,turn around. 并自创个人喜爱的新口令。如:Black, black.Sit down. Black, black.Touch the ground. Black, black.Turn around. 等等。学生能触类旁通,以此到达语言教学的真正目标。另外本课的词汇贴近学生的生活,色彩鲜明的图片与词汇配对,使学生更易理解,TPR活动更是深受儿童喜欢,所用的节奏和动作刺激大脑皮层,激活记忆,使学生在对各指令的反馈中自然习得语言。 2.学情剖析:在学习本节课前,学生已学了 blue, green, yellow, red这几个颜色单词,学生对于色彩这方面内容较感兴趣,因此在前节课词汇学习的基础上,再学习 white, black, orange, brown 这些新单词,最后利用 chant,给学生提供一个有趣、轻松、活跃的气氛去操练单词,学生更易理解,学得更快。本节课组织了多种学生喜闻乐见的形式来稳固读、听的能力,从而为下一步的视听词汇的能力打下良好的基础。 3.教学目的:本教材的教学对象是三年级学生,三年级的中小学生对英语有着浓重的学习兴趣,学生对色彩有着较强的敏感程度,更容易引起学生的兴趣,这些都有利于新知识的教学,学生能在比较轻松的环境实验中学习新课内容。所以我根据本节课的特点,制定了以下教学目的: (1) 知识技能目的: a. 进一步稳固以前学过的颜色单词:blue, green, yellow, red。 b. 要求学生能听、说、认、读 white, black, orange, brown 这些新单词。 c. 理解句子:Colour it brown。 d. 能听懂指示语Stand up!
